Role
The Women’s programme is already well established and we are now launching the Families programme to work with their families and to get everyone cycling. The Families Activities Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and delivering cycle training to a wide range of women and their families from our Hub in Govanhill, Glasgow. This will include learning to ride cycle lessons ( group and 1 2 1 ), confidence building led rides, bike buddy and route navigation support, maintenance classes as well as lots of social events aimed at those looking to start cycling or cycling more regularly. They will also run the bike lending library.
The ability to develop strong partnerships with community organisations across Glasgow is key to this role.

A key element of this work involves the delivery of our walking programmes, and we are seeking a senior leader who can inspire and develop our approach to this work. Our programme settings are based on national and international evidence of what works best to support people to become more active with walking and wheeling being one of the best ways to achieve this
So, as a potential candidate for this new post:
- Are you able to take a leading role by managing our walking programme teams to deliver on our commitments?

You will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Senior Leadership Team to champion and deliver Walking Scotland’s Mission, Strategy, and Plans. You will also lead a multidisciplinary team to drive forward Walking Scotland’s key objectives within the programme settings.

About the Role:
The Diploma in Integrative Counselling is 2-year course, credit rated at SCQF level 10 by the University of the West of Scotland, and validation from COSCA. Murray’s Initiative is one of the founding COSCA members and adheres to the COSCA ethical framework for good practice in counselling, psychotherapy and counselling skills. The course requires lead tutors who are accredited by COSCA to Diploma level or committed to work towards accreditation. Tutors should be experienced Counsellors who are accredited with an appropriate professional body, or working towards accreditation (e.g., COSCA/BACP/UKCP).
The Lead Course Tutor will have responsibility for two Diploma Courses, leading on one weekly class and one weekend class. The Lead Course Tutor will be expected to contribute to a Murray’s Initiative CPD calendar, writing and delivering on content agreed with the Head of Diploma and Training. The Lead Course Tutor will support the development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of the Diploma in Integrative Counselling.
The Lead Tutor will report to the Head of Diploma and Training.

The Alcohol Counsellor will report to the Service Manager - Counselling.
