Four Square are delighted to announce a brand new project that will provide group and 1:1 support to women using any of our social care services. To deliver this project we are seeking a dynamic, positive, qualified and experienced female professional who will lead and manage all aspects of the project from line management of students, volunteers and mentors to initial set up of the project Thrive, to delivery of the programme through to collating monitoring and evaluation data and programme improvement.

The Thrive project is a new service designed from consultation with women we support and our teams and will provide holistic group work and 1:1 support for women across our accommodation and visiting housing support services. Women may have been impacted any number of issues including homelessness, domestic abuse, addiction, childhood trauma, family breakdown, discrimination, sexual exploitation, mental and physical health issues poverty and isolation.

The Thrive Project programme in year 1 will include:

  • Counselling services;
  • Art therapy;
  • Groups focusing on recovering from trauma; health and wellbeing; personal transformation; building social support networks; skills development; and making community connections;
  • Advice and advocacy;
  • Peer mentoring training;
  • Supporting people to volunteer or take steps into employment, education or training.

Across the year the Manager will gather evidence of what works for women they support through consultation and feedback using this to develop the programme in subsequent years.

As a result of this unique project, we expect to see women using our services achieve:

  • Increased emotional stability, building resilience and managing risks;
  • Improved confidence and self-esteem;
  • Becoming empowered to make informed, healthy life choices;
  • Improved communication skills;
  • Greater community inclusion;
  • Involvement in and influence over local and national policy and services;
  • Improved physical and mental health;
  • Increased positive relationships.
