Role

Alzheimer Scotland is Scotland’s leading charity for dementia and we are delighted to invite applications for the post of Executive Assistant & Offices Manager to be responsible for the office management of our two main offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh and to provide executive support of the highest quality to our Director of Policy & Practice and other members of our Senior Team.

About the Job

The role will be to provide a safe and secure environment in our two main offices along with a flexible, proactive and expert level of executive support to our Director of Policy & Practice and senior team whilst engaging widely with internal and external stakeholders. This means you’ll be interacting closely and getting involved with every part of what we do here at Alzheimer Scotland. You will oversee the running of two busy offices with the support of the admin team in a varied role where no two days will be the same.

Working to objectives set out within our overall Strategy and Quality Management System, you will be responsible for all aspects of office management by creating and maintaining a safe and secure working environment for all staff based at our main offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh, ensuring that day-to-day tasks are carried out to the highest level and that all visitors and callers to the premises are dealt with in a professional manner. The role is also responsible for providing comprehensive and efficient executive support to the Director of Policy & Practice. This is a wide ranging role which needs a high level of initiative to prioritise requests and ensure timeous response to enquiries.

The role is likely to be based in our office at 81 Oxford Street, Glasgow – but you will be expected to have a presence in both premises over the course of the week.

About You

Being a great administrator goes without saying but you will also be a strong communicator with a high level of integrity and someone who exercises tact and diplomacy, delivers to deadlines and takes real pride in the accuracy and quality of your work.

You must be highly organised, work with autonomy, have great attention to detail with excellent IT skills, and a ‘can do’ attitude.

We are looking for someone who has had previous experience in a role of a similar nature.

All applicants must complete an application form and we’d like to hear what you can personally bring to this role, what is it about the role that piques your interest, and what personal attributes, skills and experience you can bring to the organisation.
