Role
We are looking for an experienced individual to fill an exciting role within our Property Services Team.
Cairn Housing Group requires a Care & Repair Handyperson to provide a high-quality Installation, Repair and Maintenance service for Tele-care equipment on behalf of the Highland Tele-care Service to facilitate hospital discharges.
Key responsibilities include undertaking the Installation of Tele-care equipment to a vulnerable client’s property in order to support independent living and to undertake small maintenance/repair tasks to a client’s property, including advising clients on any material costs required to complete tasks, purchasing materials, and ensuring that work is carried out in a safe working environment to a satisfactory standard.
Due to the nature of the role there are a few things we require of you: it is essential that you have at least 3 years relevant experience and a high level of competence in joinery and general maintenance work. Additionally we require you have knowledge of building construction and extensive knowledge of Health and Safety. You must also hold a Full UK Driver’s licence. We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Property Co-ordinator to oversee the daily operations, working both in the office and out on site. As the first point of contact for customers, you’ll deliver proactive, high-quality service that builds on our success and keeps us moving forward, maximising value and driving first class KPI performance. You will be responsible for rental income management and arrears; tenancy and estate management; raising and managing repairs; allocation and void management; tenancy sustainment; anti-social and behavioural management as well as general administration duties across all departments.
You will have previous experience in property management or in a related field, with a keen eye for detail to maintain high standards across all properties. With strong IT and organisational skills as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, you will have a proactive, motivated approach to work, with minimum supervision. Ideally, we would like you to have completed the LETWELL Programme, however we would be willing to provide full training to the right candidate.

3. Establishing and maintaining partnerships with referral agencies and develop further partnerships with employers or colleges in order to secure suitable opportunities for our participants.
4. Monitoring and reporting are essential to this role.
