We are recruiting a Fundraising Officer to join Held In Our Hearts, where you will play a vital role in helping to raise funds

that directly support families impacted by pregnancy, baby and infant loss.

This is a meaningful and varied role focused on building strong relationships with local communities, individuals, volunteers, and grassroots groups across Scotland. You will support colleagues to develop creative, accessible, and engaging fundraising activities that empower supporters and ensure sustainable income for our services.

This is a unique opportunity to be the local face of our work, fostering support and compassion in every interaction.

This role requires travel across Scotland to attend events and engagement opportunities, this will also result in some weekend and evening work, for which time off in lieu will be given.

MHAP is one of the longest-running independent advocacy organisations in Scotland, and we are now recruiting a new team member to help expand our individual and collective advocacy services for people experiencing mental health challenges and/or addiction issues.

We provide advocacy support to adults aged 18–65 who live in West Lothian or are receiving treatment here. Our work takes place in a range of settings, including St John’s Hospital, HMP Addiewell, and various community locations, as well as home visits when required.

Individual advocacy involves working alongside people on a one-to-one basis to ensure their voices are heard and respected. We support individuals to understand their rights, make informed decisions, and have meaningful influence over matters that affect their lives.

Collective advocacy involves working with groups of people with lived experience to explore shared concerns, identify common themes, and influence service development, policy, and decision-making at a wider level.

This is a varied and rewarding role that can make a real difference in the lives of people who may otherwise be marginalised.

Established in 2018, Moray Rape Crisis provides therapeutic support, information and advocacy for adults and young people of all genders, aged 11 and over, in the Moray area, who have experienced any form of sexual violence at any time in their lives, including rape, sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse and sexual exploitation. We also work directly with young people in schools and youth settings, and with strategic partners, towards preventing sexual violence.

We are particularly interested in applicants with knowledge and experience of HR, communications and marketing, fundraising, counselling and psychotherapy, trauma-informed practice, and equality and human rights.

About us

Express Group Fife is a well-established mental health charity operating in Fife for almost fifty years. We provide group activities for people over 18 experiencing poor mental health. The aim of the groups is to promote positive mental wellbeing by providing a safe place for sharing experiences and peer support.

There are currently 12 groups across Fife each week, supporting about 150 individuals during the year. Every person’s story is unique, and everyone’s route home is different - it doesn’t matter what the situation is – we’re not here to judge, only to help.
