  • £34,342 – £36,534
  • Glasgow

Role

Scottish Drugs Forum (SDF) is Scotland’s national resource of expertise on drugs and related issues. We seek to lead and represent the drugs field in Scotland to improve Scotland’s response to problem drug use. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a busy and dynamic team within a national third sector organisation.

We are pleased to be recruiting for this exciting new position of E-Learning Officer to support our e-learning activity on a day-to-day basis.

As part of our work, we provide quality training and information to stakeholders across the drugs and related-fields in Scotland – from treatment and support providers to people working in housing, homelessness, and prisons.

SDF has been building its e-learning capacity for several years, building a range of courses to support internal e-learning projects and commissioned courses. With the advent of COVID-19, there was a massive increase in people registering for the e-learning and a significant increase in the demand to create further packages. This demand arises from an increase in the use of blended learning, updating existing courses, and commissioned training. As a result of this, the post holder will update existing courses and develop more e-learning packages.

The main responsibilities of the rule include:

  • Develop specific e-learning packages with both internal and external subject matter experts (SME’s) in line with current workforce development requirements.
  • Management of the Learning Management System (LMS) eFront.
  • Overseeing the work of the e-learning team.
  • To oversee and support the e-learning volunteers.

Benefits

As an SDF employee you will benefit from generous annual leave entitlement, a range of learning and development opportunities, competitive pension contribution and an employee support and counselling service. SDF encourage a healthy work life balance and offer a flexible working scheme.

Candidates should be willing and able to work effectively from home, however, will be expected to attend our Glasgow office as the need arises as well as for team meetings, one to ones and staff meetings.
