The position will be an intensive floating support role based within South Lanarkshire to specifically support service users released from court on bail in an identified temporary furnished flat within the local area. All referrals will come via South Lanarkshire Council.
You should be a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced support worker with the skills to be proactive and be able to use your own initiative. Ideally you will have an understanding and knowledge of the Criminal Justice system. You will provide support on a one to one basis with service users to meet varying aspects of their lives, including Accommodation management, Health, social & economical, meaningful activity and safety & security.
You will be responsible for managing support plans and will facilitate / attend regular multi agency review meetings to ensure all aspects of support are being provided. This is a great opportunity to further develop your skills and experience. The post follows a 3 week revolving rota incorporating five 7 hour shifts predominately 9-4pm, one 12-7pm a week and occasional weekend work.
If successful, you will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council within 6 months of your start date. After registration, there is a requirement to be qualified and to maintain professional learning.
