MCR Pathways is a national, award-winning mentoring programme dedicated to addressing the long-standing inequality in education outcomes, career opportunities and life chances for care experienced young people and those experiencing disadvantage.
We are looking for two Programme Development team members to support the practice and development of the MCR programme in Aberdeen and the Central Belt. The role is a highly important one to build and maintain the confidence of the MCR frontline staff. Training and motivation skills are essential as is command of detail and empathy with the MCR cause and young people.
Our in-school mentoring has profound impacts on mentees in their confidence, wellbeing, achievement and post-school progression. MCR Mentors are volunteers who make and experience a life changing difference. The MCR frontline teams are essential to the success and your job will be to ensure they have all the tools, understanding and support needed.
You will play a key role in the development of MCR overall, the implementation and evaluation of programme content, and the hands on training of school based staff. The role is diverse and challenging with highly effective relationship building and communication skills essential. It will involve a degree of travel to schools, therefore access to a car is essential.
