Role

If you are someone who can form great connections with people to achieve results, we need you! We are looking for someone to help us promote Home Energy Scotland to a growing audience of partners to help us provide targeted services.

We are looking for a Partnership Officer to work in a new role assisting the Senior Partnership Officer in working with a range of partners focussed on tackling fuel poverty through schemes such as Warmer Home Scotland but also maximising the broader opportunities afforded by Home Energy Scotland. We offer free and impartial advice funded by the Scottish Government and have experienced significant growth over the last year as more people require our support.

The successful candidate will develop a strong understanding of the service and feel confident describing it to partners and providing the resources needed to help create effective referral relationships. You will have an eye for a great opportunity to form new partnerships and create successful projects. The success of this role will lie in providing a high-quality service to partners and building strong relationships across the public and charity sector resulting in people achieving affordable warmth in their home.

Full training in Home Energy Scotland services will be provided via an SQA accredited qualification and we are open to speaking to candidates who bring transferable skills.

Changeworks is a leading environmental charity and social enterprise in Scotland. We deliver the Home Energy Scotland service in South East Scotland and Highlands & Islands. Home Energy Scotland is a free and impartial energy advice service that provides key support to Scottish householders on energy efficiency, renewables, transport and water advice.

Benefits

Changeworks is a great place to work. We hold Investors in People Platinum accreditation (something only a few organisations in Scotland have), and we were nominated for employer of the year by the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce this year. Our staff overwhelmingly would recommend us as an employer too.

The Climate Emergency has resulted in ambitious national targets to reduce carbon emissions from the built environment and reduce rates of fuel poverty. This has driven a significant increase in the number of pilot and large-scale interventions delivered by Changeworks and external organisations in this area. These include area-based domestic energy efficiency retrofit and decarbonisation projects and programmes.

We are a growing organisation, and this role is crucial to the delivery of our ambitious objectives. We want to decarbonise homes in Scotland on a massive scale, and that needs talented individuals like you to help us deliver on our objectives. You’ll receive full training plus coaching and mentoring.

We offer a wide range of staff benefits including flexible working, bike to work scheme, an excellent pension scheme and 26 days paid holiday plus 9 public holidays per year.

At Changeworks, we welcome and encourage applications from everyone.
