Do you have a flair for communicating and want to deliver messages that make a difference?
We are looking for someone to play a key role in our team with the opportunity to promote our services to a growing audience of households and partners. Energy advice has never been more relevant or needed.
Changeworks is a leading environmental charity and social enterprise in Scotland. We give people and organisations practical support to live and work more sustainably. We deliver the Home Energy Scotland service in South East Scotland and Highlands & Islands.
We are looking for a Marketing Executive to work in a new role assisting the Marketing and Communications Manager in promoting services to households across South East Scotland. Home Energy Scotland offers free and impartial advice funded by the Scottish Government and we have experienced significant growth over the last year as more people need our help. This role provides an opportunity at the forefront of the dual challenge of reducing fuel poverty and de-carbonising how we live by providing tailored and expert advice on a range of subjects from energy efficiency to sustainable transport.
The successful candidate will form a great understanding of our services and will seek to inspire action through a variety of marketing activities, campaigns and channels. You will have a flair for writing engaging content for a wide audience of people with consideration to brand and style guidelines. Your ideas and innovation will be welcomed as we meet the challenge of supporting more households to stay warm and make informed choices about energy efficiency improvements for the long term.
Full training in Home Energy Scotland services will be provided via an SQA accredited qualification and we are open to speaking to candidates who bring transferable skills.
Benefits
Changeworks is a great place to work. We hold Investors in People Platinum accreditation (something only a few organisations in Scotland have), and we were nominated for employer of the year by the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce this year. Our staff overwhelmingly would recommend us as an employer too.
The Climate Emergency has resulted in ambitious national targets to reduce carbon emissions from the built environment and reduce rates of fuel poverty. This has driven a significant increase in the number of pilot and large-scale interventions delivered by Changeworks and external organisations in this area. These include area-based domestic energy efficiency retrofit and decarbonisation projects and programmes.
We are a growing organisation, and this role is crucial to the delivery of our ambitious objectives. We want to decarbonise homes in Scotland on a massive scale, and that needs talented individuals like you to help us deliver on our objectives. You’ll receive full training plus coaching and mentoring.
We offer a wide range of staff benefits including flexible working, bike to work scheme, an excellent pension scheme and 26 days paid holiday plus 9 public holidays per year.
At Changeworks, we welcome and encourage applications from everyone.
