What the role is

As our Web Development Officer, you will join a small and busy ICT Team that sits within our wider Corporate Services function. You will play a key role in the ongoing development of our website and intranet as well as helping to implement fresh ideas and innovative solutions to improve their functionality, user experience and internal reporting requirements.

Working closely with the Systems Development Officer and our Communications and Marketing team you’ll use your web development creativity and innovation to find solutions to support our operational teams across our wide range of activities and programmes. Also, within this role you will provide general IT support for our in-house users and systems to ensure the smooth running of our systems.

What you’ll need to have

We are looking for an individual who has a flair for web development, excellent attention to detail and the ability to write clean and efficient HTML 5 markup.

You will be highly organised and motivated with an enthusiasm for web development and coding. Having an understanding and/or experience of maintaining and supporting Moodle training platforms or other training platforms would be advantageous. You will have current knowledge/experience of Twitter, Facebook or similar social media widgets along with an understanding of current Web Standards and relational database and content management system concepts. We are also looking for you to have some relevant work experience.
