An exciting employment opportunity with the Scottish Flood Forum!

The Scottish Flood Forum (SFF) is an independent charitable organisation that supports those at risk of flooding. After flooding occurs it also provides individuals and communities with assistance to empower them to recover from the impacts of flooding – physical and emotional – as quickly as possible.

We are recruiting for a Community Resilience Manager to join our Team to develop and deliver our community resilience work across Scotland.

The post holder will be:

  • home based with the ability to travel extensively throughout Scotland
  • able to work flexible hours.
  • able to build networks and work independently with little supervision.
  • experienced in Project management.
  • experienced in working with Local Government and /or SEPA.
  • experienced in Community Engagement and Voluntary Sector Management.
  • ideally have an awareness or understanding of flood resilience – but this can be developed.
  • interested in the impact of Climate Change.
  • passionate about helping communities and individuals at risk of flooding.

This is no ordinary 9-5 job. You will need to be an excellent communicator, able to work with organisations, communities, and individuals at all levels, sometimes supporting communities and individuals in stressful situations. It’s also varied, with no one day the same as the next, working with interesting people, often in fascinating places.

Sound interesting?
