We are on a journey to excellence with the purpose of promoting and encouraging neurodivergent people to realise their potential and are looking to recruit into the business critical role of Finance Manager. Overseeing the finance function, you will directly support the strategic decision making process through the provision of meaningful financial information and analysis, ensuring the organisation operates sustainably and efficiently meeting key organisational objectives. Developing and maintaining effective relationships with key budget holders across the organisation, our new Finance Manager will oversee the annual budget process, preparation of both monthly management and annual statutory accounts and support our future growth plans through the provision of accurate cost models and financial forecasts.
A qualified accountant, or finalist, you will have a proven track record of robust financial management including the ability to get “behind the numbers” and present information and supporting analysis to both finance and non-financial audiences to allow well-informed decisions. An accomplished communicator with the ability to ‘talk finance’ in a language that the business understands, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate direct previous involvement in developing effective relationships with internal budget holders. Direct experience of continuous improvement, developing robust financial controls, systems and procedures and embedding best practice as appropriate would be beneficial, but not essential.

You will lead the operational management and support further development our collective Wellbeing Services for young people, ensuring best practice and highest standard of safeguarding. Our Wellbeing Services currently include Vibe in Linlithgow, West Lothian, and WoodlaND Learning in Clarkston, East Renfrewshire.
You will lead teams of Learning and Wellbeing Practitioners to ensure young people are supported to achieve their ambitions using a wellbeing framework and a programme of learning and skills development activities designed to meet individual needs.
You will have experience of managing services in a related field, monitoring and evaluating outcomes and impact, and strong approach to performance management and quality improvement. With strong communication, collaborative and influencing skills, you will have a track record of leading, managing and developing effective teams.
As a member of a multidisciplinary leadership team, you will also contribute to the strategic development of services and organisational growth to increase our support of neurodivergent people. About the role
Forces Children Scotland is looking for someone with the expertise, passion and drive to help support change across the sector. We are looking for someone to help the charity realise its strategic vision of becoming the sector-leading charity when it comes to supporting children and young people from regular, reservist and veteran families across Scotland. We need someone with experience of developing and leading campaigns and with strengths in leading policy and influencing work. A core aspect of this role will be implementing our new co-produced approach to influencing change and realising our manifesto calls.
Our children and young people can encounter both positive and challenging experiences as part of a service family and we help them grow in confidence, develop new skills, and gain valuable experiences. We do this by co-producing projects and services to support mental health and wellbeing, education and learning, and put their unique experiences on the radar of civilian audiences. We provide life-changing experiences that forge new friendships and help develop a sense of belonging. We listen and provide financial help in lots of different ways and support those caring for loved ones or a member of the local community as well as those gaining qualifications at college or university.
You will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer, deputising as required, as well as ensuring external policy direction and research influences our work internally within Forces Children Scotland. You will champion our work and maximise its impact by sharing knowledge across organisational functions, our communication channels and externally with strategic partners, government, and professional sectors.
About the person we are looking for
To apply for this role, you will need to hold a professional qualification and/or have significant experience in a relevant field, such as health, education, social care. In addition, you will need a minimum of eight years’ experience in working within the children and young people’s sector in a multi-agency capacity. You will need to evidence strong experience of bringing about change through influencing and campaigning, across multiple sectors related to children and young people. Our ideal candidate will also have experience of establishing and leading cross sector partnerships and translating strategy and policy into practice, based on research evidence including data analysis and voices of lived experience. You will also need to have experience of working with academic establishments across the UK and beyond in commissioning and disseminating research/reports as well as significant experience of working with and influencing Scottish and/or UK Government and policy. Furthermore, you will need to possess experience of managing staff. The role will also require a strong breadth of experience in the fields of mental health and wellbeing and/or education.
The Family Therapy Training Network is seeking committed individuals who can provide strategic leadership to our organisation.
Established in 2012, the Family Therapy Training Network provides professionally and academically accredited, masters-level systemic family psychotherapeutic training to a variety of health, social care and independent/third sector services. Systemic therapy helps people who are in relationships, including to, amongst others, children and families who want to change their relationships and staff teams and organisations who seek to improve communication and coordination of services.
We are a professional board with a range of skills, but following the departure of two key board members we are taking the opportunity to review our board’s membership. To increase the diversity of our board, we are looking for three individuals with a range of skills. Most importantly, our board members need to have a commitment to children and families getting the best services, and receiving support to improve their relationships and the quality of their lives.
Non-Executive Members/Trustees - Board members will contribute to the overall governance, financial health and strategic direction of the organisation. Previous board experience is not required, and while we welcome applications from a range of backgrounds, we are particularly interested in hearing from those with the following skills:
• HR and people skills
• Corporate/business experience
• Strategic planning
We want our board to be active in our organisation and in addition to four to six board meetings, and our AGM, we welcome attendance at our continuous professional development events. Because of the wide application of the systems and relationship ideas that inform our training, we hope board membership will enhance directors skills in their own work context. We are based in Glasgow but most of our directors meetings are online. The post is unremunerated but any travelling expenses are reimbursed.

You will lead our income maximization work across the organization, working to make sure that the 10,000 Plus people we support each year are able to access the welfare benefits and financial support they are entitled to.
As well as providing some case work directly to those we support, you will train and support our staff teams so that they can effectively guide the clients they support.

You will be a highly organised individual with a good eye for detail and an ability to engage people in understanding what can often be complex and frustrating processes. You will be committed to promoting inclusion, and will have experience of working with people with a broad range of life experiences.
