At the NSPCC, we’re leading the fight against child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. We believe that every childhood is worth fighting for. Which is why we’re working harder than ever to protect children at risk, help children who have been abused to rebuild their lives, and find the best ways of preventing child abuse from ever happening.

We work directly with children and families either in their homes or at our local Hubs across the UK and Channel Islands. Our local services are an essential part of how our three impact goals will be delivered:

  • Everyone plays their part to prevent child abuse
  • Every child is safe online
  • Children feel safe, listened to and are supported

As part of this, we are excited to establish an NSPCC presence in every nation and English region. However, our work will not be limited to these towns and cities. This new network instead enables us to embed ourselves in every community.

An integral part of the NSPCC current strategy is the delivery of innovative, pioneering, evidence-based practice across the safeguarding agenda. Our Team Managers make a vital contribution to our strategy through the delivery of high-quality services they lead.

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Social Worker with excellent communication skills, experience of supporting and developing staff within the safeguarding field as well as skills, knowledge and passion to drive improved outcomes for Children and Families.

As Team Manager you will lead the local team, manage, and shape new innovative services within the themes of Sexual Abuse and Prevention, in line with the NSPCC current strategy. You will be an integral part of the management team and will be responsible for the line management of social workers /and non-qualified staff, delivering front line services within neighbouring local authority areas.

You will need and demonstrate motivation to improve the quality of the work provided by the team, have some experience of delivering supervision that supports good practice that promotes positive values and behaviours and expertise in the field of safeguarding.

In addition, we always seek to share our learning to spread the reach and impact of our work. Therefore, in this role as Team Manager you will need to have a positive and flexible approach to influencing change and innovation.
