Senior Crisis Liaison Worker FIRST Crisis – Alcohol and drugs development

RAMH FIRST Crisis, in Partnership with Renfrewshire HSCP have undertaken a development to support the needs of individuals experiencing a crisis in their mental health who use alcohol and/or drugs. FIRST Crisis delivers immediate and short-term response to people in Renfrewshire who are experiencing emotional distress or mental health crisis. The FIRST Crisis team provide this through telephone support, complemented by appointments and face to face support as required. FIRST Crisis aims to support people to recover from periods of crisis and gain control of their life, identifying and/or building on self-management strategies to enable them to do so.

We are seeking to appoint a highly organised and motivated individual to support this unique development. You will require an in-depth understanding of Alcohol and Drug issues, risk assessment, crisis resolution and management and an awareness of Mental Health issues. You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to maintain and promote solid working relationships with our partners in the public and third sectors.

The Senior Liaison Crisis Support Worker and the Senior Crisis Worker will work within the established RAMH First Crisis Team, as part of the test of change both workers will be the conjugate between the establishes alcohol and drug service.

The FIRST Crisis service operates 365 days, Mon-Fri 9am-8pm and Sat-Sun 9am-5pm.The Senior Crisis Liaison worker will support the service over the week and part of the requirement is to support the team on an agreed rota.
