Being a part of the resident staff on Iona entails more than doing a job; it is a way of life. The resident staff community live and work together, and are committed to sharing a common life of work, worship and recreation with each other and with the volunteers and guests, throughout the season.

We are now recruiting to a number of resident staff team roles to work for the Iona Community on Iona from 2023 – come and join us:

Deputy Programme Manager

About the role:The Deputy Programme Manager supports the Programme Manager with planning and delivering an inspiring and empowering programme for guests staying with the resident community at Iona Abbey. This includes planning and delivering a Children’s Programme to be offered during Family Weeks and a Craft Programme to run throughout the season

About You: You have experience of planning and facilitating Children’s activities, craft sessions and creative programmes for groups of people within faith based and other settings. You are well organised and have an ability to engage, communicate and work with groups of people from a wide range of ages, backgrounds, abilities and nationalities. You have proven experience of supervising and supporting people in their work and ability to lead by example. You have a willingness to live in a residential community on a remote Hebridean island.
