Role

Our I Bike Officer role is an exciting opportunity for you to influence change in the way children and families travel across Perth and Kinross, embedding active, sustainable travel into their everyday lives, in turn making people healthier and happier.

You will develop and deliver cycling and walking activities, training and host events in the community for adults that enthusiastically promote active travel, partnering with cycle trainers, bike mechanics and others in and around area. The audience can be adults, parents, carers linked to I Bike Schools and members of the wider community. The aim being, to achieve an increase in the levels of physical activity, create travel behaviour change to include more active modes and to measure travel behaviour across the region.

A PVG check is required due to the nature of the role as you will work with children and vulnerable adults on occasion.

About you

We work collaboratively, so building effective working relationships with community organisations, workplaces and those promoting cycling is key to being successful in the role.

You will have experience of delivering physical activity or other behaviour change projects with communities, workplaces or schools through training, activities, events and workshops and of partnership working with other organisations.

You will have an understanding of the benefits of active and sustainable travel and of the local area.
