Are you passionate about helping people at risk of rough-sleeping during the coldest winter months?
We’re seeking staff who are motivated to tackle the problem of homelessness, with the skills to create a welcoming environment for people with complex needs. The Glasgow Overnight Welcome Centre anticipates receiving hundreds of guests seeking refuge and a warm, safe place to sleep.
All are fixed term posts from a proposed opening on 1 December 2022 to 31 March 2023, covering a variety of shift patterns: 8am-3pm, 3pm-10pm, 10pm-8am. We welcome applications from those with lived experience of homelessness or asylum/immigration.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead Crisis’s service offer and to ensure our work with members is safe, of high quality and impactful. These are new roles, hardwiring service development alongside service delivery and creating a new era of empowered local leadership and investment in locations to drive local and national change. About you
To be successful in this role you will be an experiencing leader with an exceptional track record in service delivery, service development as well as empowering and inspiring people – including staff and volunteers. You will have excellent analytical skills, be familiar with working with significant budgets and with leading through change. You will share our commitment to ending homelessness.
You may have experience in leading and developing large scale service delivery in a relevant field, such as homelessness, housing, adult social care, health, education, training, or employment. You may have gained that experience in the voluntary or statutory sectors. You should have in depth knowledge of working with people with complex needs, engaging with statutory services and a working knowledge of safeguarding.

About the Team
Based in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee, but serving all of Scotland, our Scottish Housing Law Service is funded by the Scottish Government and Scottish Legal Aid Board. It also receives income through legal aid casework. This particular role is based at our Edinburgh office.
About the role
As a Legal Secretary, you’ll be responsible for audio and copy typing, including the typing of legal documents, often to tight deadlines. We’ll also rely on you to manage the team's diaries and assist with the running of seminars and training activities by producing training notes and publicising and administrating the courses. Dealing with telephone and written enquiries from clients, lawyers or Shelter staff, providing a reception service, sorting the post, helping to produce financial information and opening and closing files on our case management CRM system – all are aspects of this interesting and varied role.
About you
To succeed, you’ll need a demonstrable relevant background and good written and verbal communication skills, including a professional telephone manner. Experience of financial procedures would be useful, but isn’t as essential as proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, email and internet and the ability to deal confidentially and tactfully with sensitive information.

OPAL (Older People, Active Lives) works with individuals and communities to promote independence and wellbeing for people age 60+ across West Lothian. We deliver person-centred, early intervention and prevention services to keep people connected in later life. Our service aims to provide people with the tools to enable them to live independently and remain in their own homes for as long as they want to be there.
About the role
The Senior Service Coordinator leads the Service Coordinator and Service Support Assistant in the delivery of the befriending element of the OPAL service and the management of our volunteers.
As Senior Service Coordinator you will:
- Oversee all aspects of the one-to-one support element of the service
- Manage the volunteer journey including recruitment, retention and supervision
- Promote sustainable community connections through befriending, encouraging service users to continue contributing within their community
- Build a network of support to boost the continued development of the service
The role is fixed term to cover for an internal secondment.

Hours - Full Time, 37.5 hours per week. You will be required to attend committee meetings and support activities and events, including working during evenings and weekends, for which time off in lieu, will be agreed.
Location - Clyde Scouts Head Office (flexibility for some hybrid working) G2 4PB with travel to our outdoor Centre, campsites and occasional events.
