We are seeking an accomplished Deputy Operations Manager to lead our business, HR, policy enhancement, and staff development initiatives. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in business management, policy evolution, and employee growth. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in aligning our policies and staff capabilities with organisational goals. Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate both practical experience and preferred qualifications in business management.
The Deputy Operation Manager will work within a feminist framework on the effects of domestic abuse and apply this understanding to all aspects of the organisation’s policies and procedures, good practice guidelines, and standards.
The Deputy Operations Manager will be familiar with risk management and will identify, assess, and effectively intervene to control threats to the organisations administrative systems and areas of service provision which may arise from a variety of sources for example, the impact on service provision where there is staff reduction due to funding loss; technology issues, accidents, strategic management error and any other issues arising.
At a strategic level, along with the Head of Operations, work in partnership with the wider Women’s Aid network and violence against women sector to contribute to local and national campaigns that further the aims of Glasgow East Women’s Aid and the job role.
Participate in national and local forums relative to the job role, facilitate training, conduct awareness raising sessions to raise the profile of the organisation at a strategic level relative to Glasgow East Womens Aid.
