Are you an effective manager and leader who has the skills to work with partners on a journey of continuous improvement? If so, Barnardo's is looking for you to join our management team in the South East locality where we deliver a range of services supporting children, young people and families.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead, develop and manage three family support services and play a pivotal role in increasing our ambition ‘to achieve better outcomes for more children' while delivering on the Promise.
HMP Edinburgh Visitor Centre is a voluntary service in partnership with the Scottish Prison Service and provides a book in service to all visitors who attend HMP Edinburgh. Families attending the centre are provided with a range of emotional and practical supports.
Edinburgh Positive Wellbeing Service provides a range of supports to children and young people aged 5 to 24 who are affected by the imprisonment of a family member. The service aims to improve mental health and wellbeing and reduce the impact of distress and stigma.
Edinburgh Together is currently a referred intensive whole family support service targeting children and young people most at risk of experiences known to have a sustained impact on wellbeing.
We are looking for a highly motivated, well organised individual with extensive family support experience in a managerial role who has:
A relevant professional and managerial qualification and a minimum of two years managerial experience.
