We are looking for an enthusiastic Peer Worker Scottish Borders Team. As a Peer Worker, you will work alongside the Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Manager and Team Leader to facilitate our mental health Peer support community across the Scottish Borders. You will support and facilitate several Peer Support Groups across the region and support a small number of Peer Support Volunteers.
You will maintain positive and effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders, key partners, and relevant professionals. Experience of developing and delivering individual and group support services is desired. If you have experience of supporting people to improve their mental health and wellbeing, or personal experience of self-managing your own mental health, we’d love to hear from you!
This is a community outreach post and travel is required across the Scottish Borders as part of the role.
A good understanding of the locality and community is desirable.
Flexibility in working hours will also be expected to meet the needs of people we work with.
