Role

Established in 2004, Break the Silence is a registered charity. We aim to make a profound and positive difference in the lives of those affected by childhood sexual trauma. We deliver professional counselling, supporting people of all genders, age 13+ resident in East and North Ayrshire.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Team with the introduction of a new Development Officer role, on a fixed term contract until June 2025.

The Development Officer will have responsibility for digital, internal and external communications and online fundraising. Experience of fundraising and/or communications role preferably in the charitable sector is essential.

Salary and Benefits – £29k pa pro-rata (c£11.6k), 14 hours per week with flexible working from home and some office based meetings. Hours/days of work can be flexible. 30 days holidays pro- rata per annum including public holidays. Membership of Employee Assistance Programme. Staff wellbeing sessions.

The role is a funded position until June 2025. The successful applicant will be required to undertake disclosure check due to the nature of our work. All roles at Break the Silence are subject to a 3 month probationary period.
