Clydebank Women’s aid has been providing a service to women, children and young people experiencing domestic abuse since 1981. We are a small group of passionate and committed feminists who work collectively to deliver a high-quality service to the women, children, and young people that we work with.

This is a rare opportunity to work in one of Scotland’s few remaining, genuine collectives, challenging male violence against women, children and young people and supporting them in their experiences of domestic abuse. You will be working within a Collective Management structure while also providing the essential face to face support.
Women’s Support Worker/ Collective Manager
For this varied and interesting role, we are looking for a woman who is passionate about feminism and women’s and children’s rights and has an ability to be adaptable and compassionate in the workplace in line with Clydebank Women’s Aid ethos. Ideally you will have some experience of support work however this is not essential as you will receive in house training and support.
What you’ll be doing
As the Women’s Support Worker / Collective Manager your core responsibility will be to deliver one to one support to women experiencing domestic abuse and are living in refuge, access our drop-in service or call in for support and advice.
You will also be responsible for the overall project management of the service alongside the other collective members. As part of your collective responsibilities, you will also provide support to children and young people who are experiencing domestic abuse living in refuge.
