Role

The Commission protects and promotes the human rights of people with mental illness, learning disabilities, dementia and related conditions.

We wish to appoint a Head of Culture and Corporate Services.

You will be a visionary, collaborative, strategic senior manager with the ability to influence, challenge and drive forward change and transformation. This is an exciting time to join the Commission as we continue to evolve and aim to influence and implement legislative change over the coming years.

You will lead the operational side of the Commission’s business, supported by a team of corporate managers, ensuring we implement our strategic outcomes, business plans and ensuring compliance with law. Importantly, you will be values driven with genuine enthusiasm for the rights based, meaningful work that the Commission delivers.

You will be a key member of the Commission’s executive leadership team and attend Board meetings. In this role you will give advice to the executive team and Board.

We are looking for a driven, enthusiastic leader with excellent relationship skills with the ability to combine strategic policy judgement and political awareness with experience of building, growing, leading and developing multi-disciplinary teams.
