The Learn Well service was established in August 2022 as an innovative multi-agency partnership including Children 1st and East Renfrewshire’s Education Department and Health & Social Care Partnership. This is an exciting opportunity to join the service at a crucial point in its development. Building on the success of the first year, the service provides intensive support to children, young people and their families by focussing on:
- improving their health and wellbeing
- Improving their educational attainment
The successful candidates will work in collaboration with young people, their families and a variety of East Renfrewshire partners including teachers, social workers, support staff, educational psychologists and other third sector partners. The children and young people linked with the service remain the responsibility of the school they are registered with; however, we are looking for your creativity and commitment to help us compliment this offer and help the young people improve their wellbeing and reach the goals they set for themselves.
We offer a range of different supports including individual and family support; opportunities to improve physical and emotional wellbeing; transition support; advocating on behalf of and with the young people; contributing to curriculum outcomes. This is an exciting yet demanding role which will require you to get alongside children and their families where, when and how best suits them. We want to be able to offer children and families the right support at the right time.
