Our Visiting Support Team work with people in the community who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. As a Service Manager, you will lead a team of eight to support people to access stable housing and sustain their tenancies.
Working Rite seeks to stop the cycle of deprivation and poverty that occur in so many communities across Scotland. We do this through our award-winning, youth employability programme, which sees practical work skills coupled with personal development, strengthened through a mentored work placement with a small, local business of the young person’s choice. Our flexible, person-centred programmes of training, support and work placements put the young people at the heart of their future, helping those 15 – 25 years old who are furthest from the job market, to gain confidence, real skills and a foothold on the employability ladder. We have been operating as a charity since 2011 and in that time have supported over 3,500 young people into a positive destination. We currently operate programmes in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and East Ayrshire.

This exciting role delivering the ABZWorks funded Chances programme will support care experienced young people age 15 - 25 from Aberdeen to achieve employment and a positive future. Using Working Rite’s work-based mentoring method; our Project Coordinators prepare young people for work placements with local businesses and support them in their placements while they learn new skills and gain confidence. It’s a simple model that works with large numbers of young people who complete the Working Rite programme progressing to full time jobs or apprenticeships.

About the role
As an experienced Bookkeeper with proven track record, you will be responsible for the day-to-day admin-istration of finance in relation to the charity and its projects.
It is essential that you are IT literate and have experience of Sage One / Xero and Microsoft Office applica-tions. As part of a small staff team, you should be a team player and able to work with minimal supervision and possess a flexible attitude regarding whatever presents itself from day to day.

Office hours are usually between 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday with half hour for lunch. The work pattern of the successful applicant will be negotiated with the General Manager but must facilitate the smooth running of the charity and its financial operations.

The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Development Officer to lead and grow our footcare initiative in the Clackmannanshire and Stirling area. Braveheart’s Top Toes service is already well established in Falkirk District and your role will be to develop, co-ordinate and grow the footcare service in Clackmannanshire and Stirling. A key aspect of the role includes promoting our footcare service through outreach and marketing activities.
Our footcare clinics are delivered by a team of volunteers, and it is the Development Officers responsibility to recruit, train and support volunteers in their role. This involves organising regular training with the NHS podiatry team, mentoring and supporting volunteers, promoting good communication and holding regular volunteer team meetings.
The post is initially funded by Clackmannanshire and Stirling Health and Social Care Partnership for up to 2 years, however, the aim of the socially enterprising project is that the service will become self-sustaining through the income raised.
