The Lunchtime Care Van service, which is an extension of the Evening Care Van Service run by Bethany Christian Trust and Edinburgh City Mission, reaches out to people with food and support at 5 different stops throughout the City of Edinburgh, 5 lunchtimes a week and every night of the year. It is driven and operated mainly by church volunteers who provide food, hot drinks, conversation and much needed support to anyone facing homelessness.

Background information
The Welcoming Association is a charity that works specifically with New Scots (asylum seekers, refugees and migrants) in Edinburgh. We won the 2021 Ashden Award for Greener Communities, and three of our volunteers also won prestigious prizes at the Inspiring Volunteer Awards 2021.
Purpose of the role
This postholder will work in partnership with Project Scotland to deliver the ‘Inspire’ project from the date of appointment to May 2024. The project aims to help Young New Scots (18-30 years old) by providing self-management and social intelligence classes, volunteering opportunities and mentoring.

Thenue Housing Association provides high quality housing with a stock base of approximately 3,000 properties in our six main communities located in Glasgow. Thenue Housing Association has always gone beyond our core housing responsibilities to address the wider needs of our communities and we have successfully secured funding through the Energy Redress Scheme to deliver an Energy Advice Project to our communities.
We are seeking 2 Energy Advice Assistants to join our Energy Advice team. The project will consist of 3 posts 1 Energy Advisor and 2 Energy Advice Assistants. The team will provide a free, impartial energy advice, information and advocacy service. The service will be accessible to low income and vulnerable households who are struggling to heat homes and pay energy bills, and tenants who are in energy debt or at risk of energy debt.
You will have practical experience of providing advice and advocacy in a community / voluntary setting as well as experience of working in a customer focussed environment. Key to the role, you will have experience of working with people from a wide range of
backgrounds including vulnerable and ‘hard to reach’ individuals. You must be willing to work towards to a City & Guild Energy Awareness Level 3 qualification.

About Options Fife Housing Support
At Aberlour we listen to understand what our young people want and need within our local area. Our Options Fife Housing Support service in Glenrothes supports young people with learning disabilities and/or autism to live and thrive within the local community.
This service will be home to 4 young people aged 16 plus who will all have their own individual flat. Our rota has been drafted to suit the needs of the young people. Our night shifts are 12.5 hours, from 8pm to 8.30am, and are worked as part of a residential rota. More details can be discussed at interview.

If you have an interest in working with young people, we would like to hear from you. Ideally, candidates will have social care experience, understanding of autism, complex needs and disability. The Project Worker post is funded by The National Lottery Community Fund to deliver the Stepping Stones project in the Berwickshire area, working alongside youth work partners across the Scottish Borders.
Stepping Stones Project Worker supports young people aged 10-18 in their communities, with the aim of improving their emotional health and wellbeing, and life chances. The Project Worker will provide universal support to each young person based on their personal needs, helping them to achieve their full potential and to develop skills through non-formal education activities within a universal youth work setting.
The Project Worker will offer responsive and high-quality support young people on topics such as emotional health, wellbeing, confidence, transition, anxiety, life-skills cyber-bullying and relationships by offering tailored one-to-one support, targeted small group sessions and activities. The project also supports young people to engage with training, volunteering, youth achievement awards, social action and joint activities with other youth groups in the Scottish Borders.
The post holder will ensure that an individual support plan is developed in partnership with each young person.

About You
Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate the following:
• Experience working directly with adults and children with learning disabilities, epilepsy, autism and physical support needs.
• Experience in using person centred planning techniques in addition to delivering and leading excellent support practices.
• Strong facilitation skills to encourage staff teams to take ownership and responsibility for the quality of support they deliver.
• The ability to effectively communicate with the people we support, staff teams, families and external care professionals.
• Creating and delivering robust service designs, support strategies and risk assessments whilst managing individual budgets.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload whilst working under pressure.
• SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
• Full driving licence with access to your own vehicle for business use.
