We’re looking for a talented storyteller to join our team; to create compelling content that brings human experiences to life and connects meaningfully with our audiences. You’ll lead on interviewing and capturing powerful, real-life stories with empathy and respect, translating complex topics into clear, engaging narratives.
Working across a range of marketing and communications channels, you’ll produce high-quality copy for websites, social media, and media releases, tailoring content to platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok. You’ll also collaborate with and manage external creatives, including photographers, videographers and copywriters.

A bit about the role
Keeping families who are experiencing difficulties safely together is a vital part of our work. As a Functional Family Therapist, you'll be working in our Functional Family Therapy Team covering Moray. The Functional Family Therapy Team will provide weekly, home-based family therapy, utilising the Functional Family Therapy model with families with young people at risk of coming into care between the aged of 11-18.
Therapists will be required to carry a caseload of around 6 families, providing therapeutic support anywhere from 3 to 5 months in accordance with the Functional Family Therapy model. This position requires flexibility in hours to meet families the needs of the families we support, working Monday to Friday with some twilight hours required.

What is the role?
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Support Coordinator working 26 hours per week. Working week will be between the following days and hours:
Salary band: £27,598 - £36,445 (pro-rata). Salary on appointment will normally be at the lower salary point, with progression subject to review - in line with VSS progression arrangements. A higher salary placing will only be considered in exceptional circumstances subject to experience demonstrated.
Primary location: Broadside, 2 Powderhall Road, Edinburgh, EH7 4GB, with travel to Jedburgh. You will also be expected to cover throughout Edinburgh, Lothian and Borders.
You will be reporting directly to a Locality Manager, and you will be responsible for ensuring, within your Service(s), that VSS’s local service development and delivery plan is being implemented within your geographical area(s). Service delivery is provided by a team of skilled and knowledgeable volunteers and you will be responsible for planning their deployment to ensure that the service delivered meets the desired outcomes of victims and witnesses of crime and our service users. You will also be responsible for all aspects of volunteer engagement with VSS at your services, including recruitment, induction, learning and development, ongoing performance management and support. Contributing to business planning and co-ordination ensuring that continuous learning takes place to monitor that the outcomes of service users are being met is also part of the role.
You will bring experience from a similar role and a commitment to your own professional development. As a confident and supportive leader, you will know how to motivate others, build trust, and drive performance. You’re comfortable working with data gathering, analysing, and presenting insights that help shape decisions. Some court experience would be advantageous. You believe in fairness and inclusion with the confidence to challenge discrimination, bias, or stereotyping when you see it. Alongside this, you have a solid understanding of the voluntary and charity sector, and willingness to be flexible in working hours and able to travel as required.
