About Action Against Stalking
Action Against Stalking is a specialist charity that provides person-centred support to victims of stalking while also working to raise awareness, influence change, and improve understanding of stalking across Scotland. Around 70% of our work is funded through the Scottish Government’s Victim-Centred Approach Fund (VCAF), with other major donors also playing an important role in sustaining and developing our services.
Our annual report showcases the impact of our small but mighty team and the breadth of our work across education, prevention, campaigning, and direct victim support. Together, these activities help us champion the rights of victims and strengthen responses to stalking in communities, services, and systems.

Additional Notes
Be part of our movement for change. We are excited to announce that we are seeking a board of trustees to support Each and Every Child through the next step in its development as a new independent charitable organisation - Each and Every Child SCIO.
Over the past 6 years, Each and Every Child has supported individuals and organisations across Scotland to change how they communicate about care and care experience in order to challenge unhelpful assumptions, stereotypes and mindsets around care and care experience that can further stigma and discrimination. In partnership with FrameWorks UK, we have shared insights into how we can effectively shift public ways of thinking, countering unhelpful and stigmatising mindsets and building support for solutions.
This is our next step. As a new, independent charity we aim to support the use of in-depth framing research and robustly evidenced insights combined with our experience of building relationships, providing advice, facilitating conversations and mobilising action to extend this work to other social issues impacting people’s lives. We will also ensure that our work to shift narratives around care experience continues to strengthen and adapt to new challenges.
We are looking to appoint a hands-on, passionate and values-driven board of trustees to support the leadership of the initiative at this crucial transition. We are also looking to appoint a Chair of the Board, a Treasurer and a Secretary. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a movement of change and support an exciting and ambitious programme of work that looks to change the story on social inequalities, now and into the future.
We are keen to hear from people who can bring new perspectives and experiences, and who are motivated to drive real change to improve the lives of children, young people and families across Scotland. We welcome applications from people of all abilities and backgrounds. These are voluntary positions, with expenses reimbursed.
The knowledge/experience we are seeking for all roles include:
· Lived or living experience of the impact of stigma and inequality on you and/or your family
· Understanding of care experience, trauma and other complex social issues impacting on children, young people and families across Scotland
· Operational experience of supporting children, young people or families, for example in health, social care, education or in the third sector
· Leadership or management experience
· Understanding of narrative change work, including raising awareness of social issues through communications, public affairs or campaigning
· Experience of community development and engagement
· Experience within education or training (with a range of contexts)
You do not need to have experience in all of these areas to apply – we welcome applications from people who have the passion to learn, support and contribute.
The skills and qualities we are seeking include:
· Ability to work effectively as part of a team
· Ability to think strategically across the public and third sectors
· Approachable, open-minded and receptive to change
· Able to consistently attend meetings and make time to read papers in advance
· Understands information such as numerical data in reports and proposals
· Objectively analyses information, in the best interests of the charity, without allowing personal opinions to influence this
· Willing to speak up, ask questions and constructively and positively challenge themselves and others
· Acts collaboratively and supports collective decision making
Chair of the Board
We are seeking a passionate, skilled, supportive and experienced individual to chair the board of trustees at this exciting time for Each and Every Child. The Chair position will provide leadership to our board of trustees and will provide the line-management of the senior members of staff on the board’s behalf. We are looking for someone with confidence, ability and passion to lead a team, manage conflict and make clear decisions.
Treasurer
The Treasurer’s primary role is to assist and advise the board in overseeing the finances even if paid staff deal with much of the day-to-day financial business. Therefore, we are seeking someone with financial experience and an understanding of budgeting, forecasting and accountancy– ideally in the charity sector.
Secretary
The Secretary will provide administrative support to the board. We are seeking someone who is organised, practical and able to use day to day Microsoft packages such as Word and Excel. With a small staff team, the role of Secretary may be left vacant unless considered helpful once meetings are under way.
*We can be flexible around both the location and attendance format to accommodate the needs of our new trustees. Hybrid meetings will be considered for applicants from across Scotland.
About Romano Lav
Romano Lav was established in 2013 by a local Roma woman, who, alongside other Roma, was frustrated with Roma people being left out of decision-making and their voices unheard. Since then, our work has challenged the racism, discrimination, and disadvantage experienced by local Roma people. Our team is made up of Roma and non-Roma people, working together in solidarity to promote social justice and achieve meaningful change.
Our work is diverse but united by the common objective of empowering Roma people, particularly Roma youth and Roma women and challenging the racialised structural inequalities that Roma people disproportionately face.
We support Roma communities to realise their rights via community education programmes. We evidence social inequalities by co-producing large-scale community research led by Roma youth. We dismantle barriers to realising rights, and we challenge inequalities, via evidence-based advocacy. We facilitate Roma inclusion by promoting Roma culture and creating intercultural dialogue. Our events and programmes are open to all, which creates greater community solidarity and mutual understanding.
Role and responsibilities
The Project Co-Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the smooth running and development of Romano Lav's projects and wider organisational work, working alongside Romano Lav’s other project co-coordinator.
The two Project Co-Coordinators work collaboratively and in solidarity, bringing complementary skills and approaches to support Romano Lav’s wider work. While both contribute to project management and organisational development, this role advertised here has a particular focus on providing support to our staff to develop and lead on projects, administration, reporting, and general organisational support that enable our projects to run effectively. The other Project Co-Coordinator works more closely with community members, playing a leading role in supporting community empowerment, leading projects and representing the organisation. Both roles are integral to our work and are grounded in a shared commitment to community leadership, mutual support, and the values of Romano Lav.
Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, the postholder will help ensure that projects are well organised, properly supported, and delivered in line with their aims, timescales and funding requirements.
2027 promises to be a very exciting time for our organisation, with strong foundations already laid for dynamic and innovative projects and activities, and a committed workforce working in a wide range of social action, wellbeing and cultural projects. The role is not to design new projects, but rather to facilitate and oversee the delivery of existing work and act as support where needed to staff designing and leading on their projects.
The role requires someone who is organised, proactive, and adaptable, with a genuine passion for community work and a supportive approach to working with colleagues. They will help staff to plan and deliver their own projects, providing practical coordination, administrative support and guidance where needed, while offering support to staff where needed - particularly to young people - to take ownership and lead their own work.
Our projects respond to a range of community needs and interests, and the postholder should be comfortable working across different areas of activity, building relationships and responding to changing priorities.
