Job Purpose:
To assist with the delivery and development of youth work provision within the policies of Lambhill Stables.
Key Results Area:
1. To deliver face to face youth work.
2. To work within a team to identify the needs of young people and assist in the delivery of personal development programmes.
3. To understand the neighbourhood in which you work.
4. To build and maintain positive relationships with young people, working as a Trusted Adult.
5. To monitor and evaluate youth work in consultation with colleagues and young people.
6. To encourage young people to actively participate in the decision-making processes of the programme.
7. To be aware of and implement Health and Safety; Child Protection and Youth Work policies and procedures.
8. To participate in regular performance reviews and be prepared to undertake training courses appropriate to your role.
9. To be accountable and responsible for carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the post with due regard to Lambhill Stables’ Equal Opportunities policy.

We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic Youth Outreach Workers who are passionate about developing and delivering quality, engaging & fun activities that are accessible to children & young people across West Dunbartonshire via youth outreach work on the streets of West Dunbartonshire.
You will have the main role of providing outreach provision and activities across West Dunbartonshire in various outdoor locations, supporting children and young people to access diversionary activities. You will mainly target those 12+ years, at time and place that is making our service more accessible to those that do not access mainstream activities – the Youth Outreach Workers will sign post and support young people to current provisions, local youth activities as well as support. You will as part of the Youth Work Team create opportunities where there is gaps in provision for young people to come together in a safe space and participate in activities and learning opportunities.
You will be part of a Youth Work team delivering exciting and engaging high quality activities that children & young people they enjoy, whilst improving their health & wellbeing, making friendships, and becoming more connected to their local community.
You will be in possession of a full and clean driving license – we have People Carries available that you will be driving as part of your role.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. To provide 1:1 support and potentially group based support to children and young people living in Pilton and the surrounding areas, in North West Edinburgh.
Pilton is an area of multiple deprivation where young people and families face a range of challenges.
Support sessions will take place across the week, usually in schools. The service is referral based working with a host of other organisations and also taking referrals from young people and families.
The Youth Support Worker will support young people with a range of issues affecting their lives, such as social isolation, school related difficulties, family problems, or poor mental health.
The Youth Support worker will develop a tailored plan with each young person to work towards positive outcomes in their lives.

West Lothian Youth Action Project (WLYAP) is an established West Lothian wide, Youth and Community based third sector organisation, with a reputation for positively engaging young people aged 10 -25 years, who are isolated from mainstream youth services. Our methods of approach are varied to maximise engagement. We are currently seeking youth workers to join our detached youth work team
Hours of work are Thursday and Friday evenings 6.30 – 10.00pm, Friday afternoons and Saturday afternoon/ evening. Shifts are flexible.
We are looking for motivated, confident individuals with a genuine interest in young people, who are able to build positive relationships with them in community settings. The aim of the work is to assist young people to reduce risk taking behaviour, minimise youth anti -social behaviour and to foster positive relationships with community groups, local businesses etc.
The Youth Workers will work in a variety of settings and will work alongside the Youth Action Project staff team and other partners.

About the role:
The Youth Participation Worker will work as part of a small team designing, planning and delivering the Space Training Academy’s exciting new project – Wellbeing onto Work (WOW).
The WOW project will work with young people aged 16-24yrs, supporting the transition between school and employment. The Youth Participation Worker will offer group sessions and 1:1 support to help young people build on their skills and improve their confidence. Sessions may take place at the Broomhouse Hub and in other outreach locations throughout Edinburgh.

This is a permanent, full-time role within Scran Academy with the core purpose of supporting young people to gain confidence, experience and skills using food and cooking.
The successful candidate will help change the lives of young people facing exclusion by supporting them using food and cooking as a vehicle to build skills and confidence. The post holder will support young people from 11+, with core groups aged from 14+, to gain positive experiences through a blend of group work, vocational training, accreditation, 1-2-1 delivery and outcomes-driven youth work. This means that the successful candidate will be expected to inspire and be inspired by young people. Using food, cooking and the professional rigour expected in a kitchen, the post holder will design and deliver engaging sessions that give groups and individuals a strong sense of power and purpose.
The post holder will deliver across programmes within Scran, and will report to the CEO with oversight from both the Academy Programme Lead and the Food and Learning Manager.
A typical week would support delivery in various locations: Mondays, Fridays, and occasional weekends will flexibly support our catering and outreach programmes, either at our café site in Comely Bank, or at various locations from our famous food truck, the Scran Van. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays will be dedicated to co-delivering our Academy and Tutoring programmes in our site at the Gyle.
A full driving license for manual vehicles is essential for this role.
