Team Leader – West Central Services (Glasgow Family Wellbeing Service)
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our West Central Services to positively impact on the lives of children, young people and their families, building empowering relationships to address the various, often complex challenges they face. These are innovative services, working alongside children and their families within communities across West Central Services providing whole family support which is easily accessible and non-stigmatising. We listen and learn from children and families to develop the service alongside our partners.
We adopt a relational and restorative approach which helps families to strengthen relationships and reduce emotional distress. We invest in reflective and trauma-sensitive practice which guides workers to develop a relationship with family members characterised by trust, respect, honesty, compassion and an open communication, placing the voice of children, young people and their families at the centre of the support.
Our main Children First base is in Glasgow, but as a key member of our wider leadership team across Glasgow, Inverclyde, South Lanarkshire and Renfrewshire, you will oversee a range of services, and some travel would be expected across these areas.
In this position you will play a crucial role in the on-going learning and development of the service and contribute to how we continue to best meet the needs of families across Glasgow and our other services/areas. Building relationships and the ability to communicate effectively internally as well as with external partners and agencies is at the heart of everything you will do.
You should have experience of working in a leadership capacity; of offering reflective support and/or supervision to a team of volunteers/staff/students and able to confidently respond to and manage risk.
Families are facing increasing challenges which makes this is a demanding role requiring tenacity, commitment and flexibility. No two days are the same!
If you have a passion for working alongside families, have experience of keeping children safe, are committed to restorative approaches, and have a professional qualification in a relevant area such as Social Work, Teaching or equivalent in Child Care/Social Care or related area, accredited counselling qualification, or other relevant qualification at SCQF level 9 or higher, then we want to hear from you. Base
We currently have a community base in the Pollok area of the southside of Glasgow. The role involves meeting partners and families across in their local communities in Glasgow and our other services/areas. Due to the needs of the service, this is a fully office/community-based role.

Heritage Project Manager & Fundraiser Parish of Dunkeld: Restoration of 13th Century choir of Dunkeld Cathedral
Background: Restoring an iconic 13th century historic building
The Parish of Dunkeld is undertaking an exciting restoration of the 13th century part of the building still used by the congregation, “the choir”. To make the Choir of the Cathedral a building fit for purpose and preserve it for future generations, we need to do a wide-ranging programme of work both internally and externally.
This once in a hundred-year project will enable the cathedral to be accessed safely and used year-round by the congregation and the community for generations to come.
In addition, it will allow for increased and improved interpretation of the history and heritage of the building providing a better experience for visitors. We consider improved interpretation of our building as key to its long-term future and sustainability, and improvements in this will determine the success of the project.
We plan to make a formal delivery phase application to the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) in 2026 and seek support from an experienced heritage project manager, who has fundraising experience to help us with this application, working with our Design Team of consultants, led by Oberlanders Architects with Alan Marshall, including Narro Associates, Irons Foulner and Morham & Brotchie and our Visitor Engagement Consultants, Community Enterprise.
Purpose of the role
This role will be responsible for project managing and overseeing the initial phase of the restoration project (relationships with the project team, Kirk Session, Design team, visitor engagement consultants, key funders) with the joint aims of
• preparing the delivery phase application to the NLHF, and
• seeking sufficient matched funding to enable a delivery phase application to the NLHF in 2026
Our key challenge at this stage of the project is to find sufficient matched funding before our Heritage Fund application and before we receive Heritage Fund Delivery Stage permission to start.
This is a £4.2m project with a 9–12-month development phase followed by a two-year delivery phase (subject to securing further funding). We have secured initial funding for the development phase from National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) and support from Historic Environment Scotland (HES) towards the delivery phase. The development stage of the project will run from April 2026 until submission of the Delivery Phase application. We are aiming to submit this application by 12 Nov 2026. The delivery stage will run from the date when permission to start is received from a successful NLHF delivery phase bid. We estimate that this will be around June 2027.
As a National Lottery Heritage Fund supported project, delivering the matched funding element of this project is key to successfully completing the Development Phase and releasing the funding required for the Delivery Phase.
You will map progress against the initial aims of the project, co-ordinate consultants, seek funding opportunities and work with the volunteer team to draft and make appropriate and timely applications.
The successful candidate will also be expected to manage the day-to-day administration of the project, making sure deadlines are met, grant applications are made, reports submitted on time and grant claims are made
We estimate that 1-2 days per week will be required for this work, varying around milestones and key deadlines.
You will be joining us at an exciting time as we continue to grow our reach to support people who are deaf, have hearing loss or tinnitus through our RNID Near You community services. These services are delivered in accessible local community settings through a local coordinator and volunteers to offer:
• practical hearing aid support
• information on hearing loss and tinnitus
• hearing checks
You will have responsibility for the successful management and delivery of these services across your area.
You will:
• Manage your service hubs to ensure high quality, standardised delivery of RNID Near You – meeting performance and KPI targets delivery within budget with an eye to continuous improvement.
• Support your team through positive and encouraging line management to deliver RNID Near You to the highest standards.
• Work with the Community Services Development Team to record and collate KPI information ensuring that your services are delivering to target and act quickly to ensure plans are in place to remedy poor performance.
• Liaise with key partners and stakeholders to deliver mutual satisfaction of performance and ensure long term funding of our services.
Essential criteria for the post:
• You will have a strong background in service delivery to target and to a high standard.
• You will have experience of supporting staff or volunteers to deliver high quality service activity.
• You will have an eye for detail and record keeping (monitoring and evaluation).
• You will have experience of preparing and managing budgets with knowledge of routine finance and budget processes.
• You can work remotely and use technology to not be limited by geography.

We are recruiting a values-driven individual to join our Sacro delivery team in the following role:
0.5 FTE Throughcare Community Worker based in Fife covering Males, Females and YP.
Your role will be to support people returning to their community following a short-term sentence or period on remand providing relational and practical support that is tailored and responsive to the needs of the person. Working collaboratively with Throughcare Prison Worker colleagues and a range of partners you will support in co-ordinated pre-release planning to ensure a person’s journey is effectively supported. This will involve supporting connections to local, and specialist, services where appropriate and importantly wider community connections.
You will have the ability to establish trusting and genuine relationships with compassionate approaches front and centre. You will be self-motivated and understand the importance of collaboration and working in partnership across organisations and sectors to support the best outcomes for people. You will be keen to support your team, Pod area and wider service delivery demonstrating flexibility to service demand as required.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to be involved in shaping and delivering a new high-profile government funded project, that is truly making a difference to people’s lives.
This role will involve working as part of a dynamic local team with workers from across Partner organisations. Primarily remotely, with some work expected at our designated work hub (Edinburgh/Glasgow/Kirkcaldy) and travel as required to support engagement events across the partnership. Alzheimer Scotland is Scotland’s national dementia charity. Our aim is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. We provide support and information to people with dementia, their carers and families, we campaign for the rights of people with dementia and fund vital dementia research.
What you’ll do
You will be responsible for supporting people living with dementia to achieve good outcomes using a range of therapeutic interventions, resources and activities as appropriate. Working as part of the Registered and Commissioned Services/Community Connections team you will have responsibility for ensuring that services are of the highest quality and meet Alzheimer Scotland’s vision for unique therapeutic, highly person-centred support.
You will work with the wider team and Day Services Manager to ensure safe practice and delivery of high-quality, person-centred, therapeutic Registered and Commissioned Services/Community Connections, ensuring practice complies with Alzheimer Scotland’s policies. You will contribute to evidencing, reviewing and continually improving the quality of the services and will participate in internal audit and Care Inspectorate inspections.
You may operate within a building-based Day Care or as part of a Community Connection team delivering Community Groups and Outreach services across an allocated area. At times, this will involve working without supervision in the absence of the Day Services Manager.
You will work with the wider team to evidence that services meet Alzheimer Scotland’s Quality Guarantees, Scotland’s Health and Social Care standards and other quality frameworks including those of the Care Inspectorate where relevant. This includes ensuring that the activities and support offered meet the identified personal outcomes of those attending the services.
What you’ll have
The successful candidate will have a good understanding and/or experience of working with or supporting people living with dementia and their families. This will include an understanding of the benefit of high quality, evidence based therapeutic activity, ongoing evaluation, quality assurance and continuous improvement.
Knowledge and understanding of the Health and Social Care Standards and SSSC codes of practice and the Care Inspectorate and their role in registered services.
Understanding and knowledge of dementia, mild cognitive impairment and Brain Health and experience of working with or supporting people living with dementia and their families.

At Families Outside, we're the only national charity in Scotland working solely to support families affected by imprisonment.
Joining the East of Scotland regional team, within our national Family Support Team, the Regional Family Support Coordinator will support people living in the Edinburgh and Lothians area who have a family member in prison. They will:
• Support families at home and in their community via 1:1, family, and/or peer support
• Work closely with key professionals including prison staff and prison visitors centre staff to provide advice, information, and guidance on a range of issues
• Raise awareness with key professionals within the local community about the impact of imprisonment and our work to improve outcomes for families
• Work closely with HMP Edinburgh, contributing to meetings and events that support the rights of children and families affected by imprisonment
