About Us:

Crossroads Community Hub is a charity, seeking a Development Officer to support its charitable activities based at our purpose-built community facility, Ayrshire Community Hub. The Hub, at Crossroads in East Ayrshire, also houses a café, farm shop, event space, gardening and growing areas. Our charitable activities include working with supermarkets, community partners and volunteers to support our local community in any way we can. The post is funded by Funding Scotland through the Development Trust Association Recovery and Resilience Fund. We are passionate about our work, and our community.

Our Aims:

We aim to develop the full potential of the hub as a community asset by developing our community activities, building new partnerships with hub users and seeking opportunities for new streams of funding working with the Board Trustees on governance and financial stability.

Job Role:

You will be based at Ayrshire Food Hub working to deliver a range of activities and services for people in the towns and villages in the 6 rural parishes surrounding Crossroads. You will be responsible for coordinating funding streams and establishing operational and financial systems, linking them into a Management Accounting System. You will manage our established food poverty programme seeking grants to continue and develop the programme with the support of our Trustees.

The Person:

You will be a practical people person with excellent networking skills, driven to help support the vision of the organisation by bringing creative and innovative ideas on delivering our charitable community objectives.
