Queensferry Sports and Community Hub is a Not for Profit SCIO Registered Charity and we are looking for an assistant manager to help with the day to day running of our organization. This role will involve supporting the general manager in the continued development and delivery of the Hub’s objectives. This is a full time senior role with possible career progression.

Role

The Role:

  • The Assistant Hub Manager will play a crucial role in the daily operations of the community hub.
  • Manage employees and systems effectively
  • Develop and promote activities and events to maximise facility usage
  • Update and maintain the Hub’s website and social media
  • Monitor and improve operational systems
  • Oversee service delivery, including building access
  • Handle queries from service users
  • Complete grant and loan applications to secure funding

Candidate

The Candidate:

The ideal Assistant Hub Manager will possess the following:

  • Experience in managing people
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Flexibility to work hours that meet Centre Management needs
  • Proficient in prioritising work and demands
  • Computer literacy
  • Interest in the health and fitness industry

The following skills and experience are highly desirable

  • Experience managing services or buildings, personnel and contractors
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety including risk assessment and maintenance management
  • Understanding or and ability to produce financial budgets
  • Experience of working in the third sector
  • Experience of income generation and securing funding
  • Experience in the development and marketing of services
  • Experience of working in the Health and Fitness industry

Package

The Package:
