West of Scotland Mentor Services Coordinator

We are looking for a Mentor Services Coordinator to support volunteer mentors in the West of Scotland.

About the role

Our Mentor Services Coordinators are the key contacts for our volunteer mentors from their first enquiry about mentoring until they are matched with a young person. The Mentor Services Coordinators conduct in depth interviews with all prospective volunteer mentors, organise training, organise PVG checks and make the process as smooth and supported as possible.

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing excellent customer service to prospective and existing mentors using strong communication skills on the telephone, in virtual meetings, by email and sometimes in person
  • Ensure all of our volunteer mentors are individually supported and fully engaged at every stage of their mentor journey
  • Deliver information sessions, participate in mentor one-to-one conversations and facilitate mentor training sessions and other mentor engagement activities.

About you

  • Customer service experience
  • Based in the West of Scotland
  • Experience of or strong interest in working or volunteering in the charity or third sectors
  • An understanding of young people and educational settings
  • People person with excellent communication and listening skills and empathy
  • Well organised with great administrative skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent desktop and database skills

Evidence and Impact Officer

Are you passionate about using data and evidence to change young people’s lives? We are looking for an Evidence and Impact Officer to join our Systems, Evidence and Impact team – someone who can turn our quantitative and qualitative data into robust insights and compelling reports that demonstrate the difference mentoring makes to young people, mentors and the education and skills system.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the ongoing development of our Outcomes Evaluation Framework and monitoring tools, ensuring accurate collection, storage and analysis of quantitative and qualitative outcomes data.
  • Generate actionable insights through thoughtful and robust analysis and visualisation – identifying trends, successes and areas for improvement.
  • Create high quality evidence and impact reports for internal and external audiences, including schools, local authorities, funders and policy makers.
  • Create, maintain and quality assure accessible data dashboards to give delivery teams real-time insight into programme performance.
  • Train and support delivery staff in data collection methods and the use of our systems, helping to embed a culture of impact and data across the charity.

About you

We are looking for a creative, detail-focused analyst who is passionate about youth development. You will:

  • Have proven experience in qualitative and quantitative data analysis and interpretation.
  • Have experience of monitoring and evaluation approaches such as Logic Models, MEL and Theory of Change.
  • Be proficient in tools and techniques to visualise data (e.g. Tableau, Looker Studio, Google Sheets) to communicate insights.
  • Be able to present data in easy-to-understand formats and communicate confidently with internal and external stakeholders, including young people.
  • Be a strong team player, self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects to tight deadlines.

We are looking for a Solutions Engineer who can help turn our tech ideas into real-world tools that make life easier for our mentors and young people – someone who understands that behind every piece of technology is a person it’s meant to help.

Key responsibilities:

Lead on digital projects from start to finish – making sure the right people are involved, the steps are clear and everything stays on track to hit our goals.

Use AI/LLM tools to rapidly prototype solutions. You’ll design user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure AI outputs are ethical, accurate and high-quality.

Bridge the gap between technical and user-friendly. You’ll lead requirements gathering, conduct user research and collaborate with our Learning & Development team to ensure new tools are fit for purpose.

Help look after our digital tools and guide us as we move our data and systems from Salesforce over to newer, more modern platforms.

Manage AI-specific risks, including data privacy and ethical considerations, ensuring security auditing is integral in every project from day one.

About you

We are looking for a creative, resourceful professional who is passionate about youth development and technical excellence. You will:

Translate complex business needs into actionable technical requirements

Have the confidence to coordinate with people from all across the charity, helping different teams work together smoothly and ensuring our projects stay on schedule.

Have strong IT skills with an interest in AI, automation and data mapping.

Value user research, empathy and clear communication. You don’t just build a tool; you ensure people know how to use it.

Be comfortable working independently or as part of a team on multiple simultaneous projects.

About the role

This is a unique opportunity to help shape MCR Pathways’ growth. As Partnerships Manager, you’ll build relationships with employers, public sector organisations and community partners that create sustainable pipelines of volunteer mentors and wider organisational support.

You’ll enjoy a varied and autonomous role, combining business development, relationship management and regional partnership building. Working flexibly between home, partner locations and communities across the East & South East of Scotland, you’ll have the opportunity to influence how mentoring grows across the region while being supported by an experienced national team committed to achieving lasting impact for young people.

Key responsibilities

  • Research, map, and secure new corporate, public sector, and SME partners whose CSR, ESG, and D&I pillars align with MCR Pathways’ mission.
  • Deliver compelling pitches, proposals, and workplace engagement events to drive high-volume mentor recruitment and hit ambitious monthly regional targets.
  • Serve as the primary account manager for regional partners, delivering exceptional service to nurture long-term commitment and turn partners into active champions of the program.
  • Collaborate with the Communications team and local networks to execute place-based campaigns and social media drives that raise brand visibility and generate prospective mentor inquiries in priority areas.
  • Work closely with cross-functional internal teams to optimise the conversion process, guiding prospective mentors seamlessly from initial inquiry through to active onboarding.
  • Utilise CRM systems and dashboards to track pipeline activity, evaluate campaign ROI, and monitor key recruitment and retention metrics.

About you

  • Experience of and expertise in relationship-building on an organisational and individual level
  • Experience presenting compelling and emotionally engaging information sessions to stakeholder organisations and individuals
  • Experience and understanding of the importance of recruiting a diverse range of volunteers
  • Can-do, proactive, flexible, solution-focused attitude
  • Belief in young people’s potential, modelling motivation, commitment and resilience
  • Knowledge of East and South East Scotland, including community groups and organisations

This role would suit someone with experience in business development, partnerships, account management or fundraising who is ready to take the next step in their career.
