KYTHE (Kinross-shire Youth Enterprise) is a dynamic Christian youth organisation dedicated to empowering young people through creative, engaging, and inclusive youth work. Their mission is to create safe, welcoming spaces where young people can thrive, build resilience, and develop their full potential.

Rooted in Christian values, KYTHE’s programmes include universal, targeted, and 1:1 services designed to meet the diverse needs of young people in Kinross-shire. As Head of Youth Work, you will play a vital role in sustaining and growing these impactful services.

The Role

The Head of Youth Work is a pivotal leadership position with overall responsibility for KYTHE’s youth work provision. You will shape and lead KYTHE’s programmes, manage youth work staff and build meaningful partnerships with key stakeholders.

This role offers the opportunity to:

  • Develop and deliver a dynamic youth programme that positively impacts young people in Kinross-shire.
  • Represent KYTHE at a senior level, building partnerships with schools, churches, funders, and local authorities to enhance its reach and impact.
  • Contribute strategically as part of KYTHE’s Core Management Team, supporting long-term planning and growth.
  • Lead by example, building trust and meaningful relationships with young people.

This role has an Occupational Requirement under Part 1, Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010, requiring the post-holder to be a practising Christian.

What does KYTHE need from you?

To excel in this role, you will be an experienced and passionate leader with a strong personal faith and a heart for young people. You will bring:

  • Leadership: A committed Christian or someone with values aligned to Christianity, demonstrating spiritual maturity and embodying KYTHE’s ethos in all aspects of your work.
  • Proven Experience: A track record of managing teams, delivering impactful programmes, and achieving results in youth work or similar settings.
  • Relevant Qualifications: A degree in Youth Work (or equivalent) with a solid understanding of the needs of young people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills, able to connect with young people, staff, and external partners while confidently representing KYTHE.
  • Strategic Vision: Highly organised, self-motivated, and adept at developing and implementing long-term plans.
