Broxburn United Sports Club (BUSC) was formed in 2007 to develop and deliver sporting programmes within the local community. The facility opened in 2010 and provides inclusive sporting and social activities for all ages and abilities, seven days a week. The club is currently run by a board of nine trustees and three permanent staff, as well as a number of local volunteers/coaches who are vital to the success of the organisation.

Sports Development Lead

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer you will be responsible for all Sport Development programmes including, holiday and diversionary programmes delivered at Broxburn United Sports Club (BUSC).

To oversee and manage the Sport Development Officer and Employees within the various sports activities and programmes to ensure the safe and effective operation of all Sport Development programmes offered by Broxburn United Sports Club. You will liaise with venue staff, parents and clubs to ensure the smooth operation and pathways offered within our sport development programmes.

Funding & Commercial Lead

The Funding & Commercial Lead will play a key role within BUSC and will be responsible for driving income generation and new business development/commercial opportunities. Bringing these new opportunities to fruition will involve working closely with the Operations team, Community team & External Stakeholders.

The role is responsible for income generation from a range of sources including companies, trusts, foundations and individuals. This will include both commercial and sponsorship revenue.

Summary of the role

At Broxburn United Sports Club (BUSC) we are about to go through a significant period of change as we reset our strategy for the next 3 years. This role will require a strong and resilient individual who can provide leadership and direction in the delivery and implementation of the BUSC vision, mission, values and objectives, as directed and agreed by the Board.

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be accountable for the delivery of change at pace, embedding the change into the organisation, whilst maintaining business as usual performance levels.
