The Scottish Union of Supported Employment is an umbrella organisation for public, private and voluntary bodies interested in supported employment and social inclusion. We promote the right of all individuals with a disability or long-term health condition to achieve their full potential, specifically overcoming barriers to employment and accessing real jobs for real pay. Working with our members and stakeholders we pioneer new approaches, challenge assumptions and champion best practice in our field.
The Scottish Union of Supported Employment (SUSE) is the national representative body for supported employment providers and anyone interested in ensuring that disabled people and those with long-term health conditions across our country have the opportunity of a working life. We bring organisations and people together to campaign, network, and improve the quality and impact of Supported Employment and employability services.
SUSE is leading the Apt Making It Work project, which helps employers support disabled people and those with long-term health conditions, making workplaces more inclusive. The project focuses on recruiting businesses, helping them create action plans, and working with partners to provide quality services. Employers will receive guidance on how to better retain employees, reducing economic inactivity and improving workplace support.
Applicants should have experience in managing projects, building partnerships, and engaging with different stakeholders. Knowledge of employment services and strong communication skills are important. SUSE is committed to equal opportunities and welcomes applicants who share its vision.
