Trustee opportunities
We are looking for committed individuals to join our Board of Trustees. This is an incredible opportunity to make a difference with The Junction and build your skills. We are currently recruiting for Trustees to join our board from January 2024, with a particular interest in candidates with experience of the charitable sector. We are looking for candidates with Trustee/Board experience, who are committed to our values and in supporting young people in the community, with an understanding of the issues affecting them as well as the opportunities and challenges of the third sector landscape.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Project Worker Team as a part time Project Worker. The role involves leading on developing and delivering our street and school outreach, leading on and delivering partnership group work and providing one to one support for young people both in regular appointments and in our Open Access services.

We are seeking a confident and innovative Director with demonstrable experience of successfully leading a team in the third sector. We are looking for an Office Administrator that has excellent time management and organisational skills to play a leading in the essential administration functions of our small office. The successful candidate must be able to communicate well with a range of stakeholders and share The Junction's values and commitment to the rights of young people.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Young Person's Counsellor. This role is part of a recent successful partnership bid with other youth services in Leith as part of the Community Mental Health Funding.
The postholder will provide counselling to young people both at The Junction and in the partnership organisations. They will support the development joint referral system for the partnership. Other organisations in the partnership are The Citadel Youth Centre, Miricyl, Multi-Cultural Family Base, Pilmeny Development Project, The Ripple Project and YMCA Edinburgh.
A formal counselling qualification and experience of counselling young people are essential. Would be particularly keen for applications from individuals that have a good understanding and experience youth work.
The Junction Young People Health and Wellbeing has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Manager. This is a hybrid role that requires an inspirational individual to lead the Project Worker Team and deliver face to face support for young people. Expertise in supporting and managing staff as well as experience working with supporting young people with their wellbeing is essential to this role. You should be able to work flexibly, have excellent communication skills and be comfortable working with uncertainty.
