Stirlingshire Voluntary Enterprise (SVE) is Stirling's local third sector interface (TSI). TSI's exist to build empowered communities with a thriving third sector, which consists of community groups, voluntary organisations, charities and social enterprises. SVE provides services, aimed to build third sector capacity, structured around the themes of third sector excellence and resilience, social innovation, volunteering, community development and third sector involvement in community planning and decision making.

Are you an inspirational leader with a talent for motivating people and networks to achieve goals? Stirlingshire Voluntary Enterprise (SVE) is seeking a Deputy Chief Executive Officer to join our team.

SVE is the partnership and development agency for the third sector in Stirling. As the local third sector interface we are a membership organisation of locally based charities, social enterprises and volunteer-led community organisations.

Working closely with the Chief Executive and the Board of Directors, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the strategic plan for developing the third sector and volunteering in Stirling. Key responsibilities include providing leadership and management of colleagues, programmes, and resources to implement SVE’s strategic and operational plans effectively.

As a highly motivated and emotionally intelligent leader, you'll demonstrate sound judgement under pressure and possess strong problem-solving skills. Your commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion in the workplace will be evident, aligning with SVE's vision and values.

In this role, you will work closely with social enterprises and aspiring social entrepreneurs, understanding their needs and delivering the support they need to grow and build sustainability. This work is a vital part of the Stirling Social Enterprise Strategy Action Plan, a collaborative effort to develop and extend social enterprise across Stirling.

You'll have the unique opportunity to support a diverse range of social enterprises throughout their journey from startup to growth, scaling up, and sustaining their impactful work. Your practical skills and experience in business advising and/or community development will be essential in this role.

Additionally, you will help social enterprises build their networks and voice, playing an instrumental role in facilitating the Forth Valley Social Enterprise Network. Your ability to build relationships, balance practical support with strategic insights, and influence local policy and practice will be key in shaping the future of social enterprise in Stirling.

Designing, delivering, and evaluating programs that tackle local employment needs will be at the core of your responsibilities. You'll support third sector organisations in developing fair work practices, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for people from diverse backgrounds.

You'll also oversee our employability grants programme, using data to measure effectiveness and inform future improvements. Providing guidance and training to empower third sector organisations in engaging with local commissioning processes will be key, as you work to co-produce new services in employability.

Clackmannanshire Third Sector Interface (CTSI) and Stirlingshire Voluntary Enterprise (SVE) are the third sector interfaces for Clackmannanshire and Stirling. We are a membership organisations of locally based charities, social enterprises and volunteer-led community organisations, and work closely with the Clackmannanshire and Stirling Health and Social Care Partnership to improve the health and wellbeing of people across the area.

We are recruiting two Community Link Workers; one employed by CTSI and based in Alloa, and one employed by SVE and based in the Fallin/ Cowie area.

The Community Link Workers will be based in a GP’s Practice providing social prescribing information and support for local people. The Community Link Workers will be fully integrated in day-to-day work of the practice staff to inform and provide community connections to service users. By offering information and support the Community Links Workers will help people to access the wide range of local support provided by Third Sector organisations, helping them to reconnect and understand how they can improve and sustain their own health and wellbeing.

SVE is Stirling’s third sector interface; a membership organisation of locally based charities, social enterprises and volunteer-led community organisations. We aim to strengthen the third sector and broker partnerships that deliver real change by connecting people, ideas and resources.

We are recruiting a Development and Engagement Coordinator to lead programmes of work that increases volunteering and employability opportunities in the third sector and contribute to local and national policy agenda’s such as No One Left Behind, Young Person’s Guarantee and Stirling’s Alive with Volunteering. The role will lead our work on volunteering and employability, including supporting third sector voice and brokering partnership between the third sector and the public sector. As well as working directly with people wishing to volunteer to gain skills and experiences for employment, you will also work with third sector organisations to develop existing and new volunteering and employability opportunities.

Our work supporting volunteering is a key part of the Stirling’s Alive with Volunteering Strategy, a multi-agency approach to developing and extending volunteering in Stirling. You will take a key role in the development of Stirling’s Alive with Volunteering, supporting the creation and implementation of the action plan, and linking actions with the employability agenda.
