Stepping Stones (North Edinburgh) is a voluntary organisation that provides support services to young parent families and pregnant women living in the North Edinburgh area. We aim to promote and support the social development and education of families with young children.
Stepping Stones North Edinburgh is a Scottish charity which supports families living in North Edinburgh. We work with families to help them develop the tools to support their wellbeing, build resilience and reduce isolation.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our Family Wellbeing team. You will work with families and the team around the child to put in place the building blocks that are needed for parents and children to have a healthy, nurturing and safe home environment. Working from a strengths-based approach you will have the skills to build meaningful relationships with both parents and children and support them to make the changes they wish to see in their lives.
We are happy to accommodate and agree a working pattern of between 28 and 35 hours per week.

This vacancy offers an exciting opportunity to join Stepping Stones as part of our Family Wellbeing team.
Within this role you will develop and deliver two groups per week which are aimed at families with children under 5 years and designed to help build their confidence and wellbeing whilst reducing isolation.
You will have the opportunity to home visit families, build relationships and offer support to address challenges which the family are facing. You will work closely with Stepping Stones colleagues to offer flexible and tailored support.

We have an exciting opportunity to join the team as an Early Learning Practitioner.
Minimum 20-24 hours per week ideally but a range of hours available for the right candidate alongside flexible working patterns, including term time working.
This role has recently undergone some development and we are looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting the wellbeing and development of children aged 0-5 years both through group work and childcare provision but also by working alongside parents and carers.
You will have the opportunity to work in a meaningful way with small groups of children, creating stimulating learning environments and nurturing positive relationships with both children and parents.

The partnership consists of seven agencies; Circle, Stepping Stones North Edinburgh, Granton Youth, Intercultural Youth Scotland, Pilton Children’s Youth Project, Muirhouse Youth Development Project and Wester Hailes Youth Agency.

As part of this partnership Stepping Stones is recruiting 1 full-time Family Wellbeing Practitioner (35 hours per week) and 1 part time Family Wellbeing Practitioner (18 hours per week) to support families where children and young people are experiencing challenges around mental and emotional wellbeing or distress. Support will include the provision of one to one support for children and holistic family support, with the aim of building resilience, parenting capacity and positive relationships.
As a Family Wellbeing Practitioner you would have the opportunity to work with families in supporting them to develop the skills needed for good mental health and wellbeing, positive relationships and a nurturing home environment.

Circle – Haven Project and Stepping Stones North Edinburgh are working in partnership to enhance and expand their delivery of holistic family support which will promote children and young people’s resilience and mental health across the North West Locality of Edinburgh.
This exciting opportunity has arrived through Community Mental Health and Wellbeing funding and we are seeking an experienced and skilled practitioner to join our team. Delivery will be focused on children and young people aged between 5-24 (or 26 for care experienced young people) who reside with their parents.
