What You’ll Do
Working closely with your SWA training team colleagues, you will co-ordinate a programme of training, learning and good practice events for SWA members across Scotland. Continuous evaluation is a crucial part of our provision, so you must be able to demonstrate the impact and benefits of our training programmes.
What We Need
We’re looking for someone with experience of co-ordinating projects, training and events; you’ll also be able to develop training resources and packs to support delivery and ensure all participants gain impactful continuous development. The ability to confidently engage with a range of people at local and national levels is critical for success, as is interpreting and presenting complex issues so they can be easily understood by different audiences
We’re looking for someone who has;
• An understanding of a gendered analysis of domestic abuse and the impact on women children, young people
• Experience of assessing training needs and understanding of quality assurance systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team, prioritise tasks and work to deadlines
• Ability to use online information systems and databases
• Excellent working knowledge of digital training delivery platforms like zoom, MS Teams, webex etc.

What We Need

You will lead a busy operational team, providing day to day guidance and monitoring as well as supporting the continuous development of all helpline staff. As part of SWA’s management team you will support the development, planning and implementation of the organisational strategy, contributing and updating on all elements of Helpline functionality and development.
What We Need
With excellent people-management and development skills and demonstrable experience of working within a domestic abuse or violence against women service, you will have sound knowledge of call-centre communications technology and good practice relating to running a telephone advice/information service. A relevant management qualification would be beneficial but more relevant is the experience and knowledge of the right and options available to people with experience of domestic abuse or forced marriage and offering support, information and safety planning and making appropriate referrals.
We’re looking for someone who has;
· Experience of preparing organisational reports and reports for funders and committees
· A sound knowledge and understanding of a gendered analysis of domestic abuse
· Knowledge of tools or methods such as development of business cases, funding submissions, contract management and risk assessment
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Knowledge and understanding of digital tools and software in order to run and troubleshot call centre technology.
· Ability to utilise software to capture and generate reports and present usage and impact data.
· Excellent working knowledge of MS Office packages, email and the internet

We’re looking for someone with experience of website management, creating graphics for social media and previous knowledge of scheduling content using tools such as Tweetdeck, Hootsuite, Buffer or Facebook/Twitter’s in-built scheduling systems. What You’ll Do
The CYP Policy Officer will work with a diverse range of stakeholders to identify and influence key policy areas relevant to SWA and its member organisations. You will ensure you maintain and build effective relationships and alliances to aid in providing solutions, contributing to an evidence based approach to the development of relevant public policy and strategy.

The successful candidate will have experience in the field of children’s policy and/or children’s human rights, preferably in relation to gender inequality or gender based violence. You will be a confident networker with strong public speaking skills and the ability to influence at all levels.

The Role

With the cost of living crisis escalating, women and children experiencing domestic abuse are facing increasing poverty. The focus of this Policy Officer role over the next year will be on leading our work on social security and poverty reduction, to ensure that SWA is well placed to continue to influence and respond effectively.

We’re looking for someone who has
We are 6 months into an 18 month contract with two other UK nations, promoting and growing the Safe Spaces initiative. This role sits within the Safe Spaces Project Safe Spaces Locations - UK SAYS NO MORE, an initiative launched during the pandemic to increase opportunities for survivors of domestic abuse to discreetly access specialist support in physical and online safe spaces, including pharmacies and banks.
We have hit the ground running in those 6 months, establishing connections with national and local partners to get buy-in and support for the initiative. We have investigated and developed a quality assurance framework, as well as information and resources for existing Safe Spaces providers. With just under 12 months left on the contract, we are looking for a well-connected, excellent communicator to build on this relationship building and take forward as a priority communicating with local and national partners.

Scottish Women’s Aid is partnering with Hestia’s UK Says No More, to provide quality assurance, information, support, resources and training to Scottish businesses to enable them to provide effective avenues.
What You’ll Do
Key to the role is forming effective partnerships with trusted businesses to promote project engagement and provide access to training for pharmacy and bank staff. Identifying emerging workplace development needs, you will work closely with participating businesses to gain feedback to support improvements to the delivery model, ensuring a Scottish context is given to the scope of the project including sign-posting to local Women’s Aid groups and services.
What We Need
The successful candidate will have experience of co-ordinating national outreach and public development programmes, with demonstrable involvement in assessing workplace development and training needs. It’s essential that you will have a background in delivering national projects, training, seminars conferences and events.
