OPAL – Outdoor Play and Learning - CIC is the UK's leading, award-winning organisation providing school improvement through play. As an OPAL Mentor, you will be working independently with primary school staff, guiding them through the 18-24-month strategic OPAL programme. The main goal of the programme is to support the creation of a sustainable school play culture at the same time as enabling fantastic playtime provision for children. You will be working across Scotland, facilitating eight compulsory and two optional half-day meetings per school, throughout every school's OPAL journey. Full OPAL training will be provided, to build on the successful candidates experience and expertise.

They will be responsible for creating digital content and media for a variety of audiences and as a key member of a small team they will provide support to others to ensure consistent messaging and branding.

About the role
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for supporting the CEO and Director of Projects by managing their time, diary, and priorities, liaising with the internal team, board and external stakeholders using judgement and authority. In addition, you will work closely with the CEO, to offer full administrative support for existing work and other upcoming projects.
This is a fixed term post until the end of March 2023, with the possibility of extension subject to funding.
Start date is negotiable, available from August 2022.

About the Role
The Play Pedagogy Award has been developed and piloted over the last 2 years.
We are now ready to recruit a Project Co-ordinator to launch the award, market it to schools across Scotland, and evaluate and manage the granting of awards.
The post holder will work closely with schools to assist them in self-assessing and transforming their spaces, practice, and culture.
This is a fixed term post until the end of March 2023, with the possibility of extension subject to funding.
