We are seeking to fill this crucial post of Health and Safety Lead, who will work closely with senior managers predominantly within our support services, but also those with responsibility for Learning and Development, Housing and Human Resources.
Given the significant focus on support services you will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in social care, ideally in a Health and Safety focused role or in a supervisory/management position with real knowledge of both health and safety challenges and solutions within the sector. Pam’s Team
We are currently recruiting a small team of female support staff to support “Pam” from her family home. Pam is 31 and has severe cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair. Pam also suffers from PTSD and we will be gradually introducing staff to her team which helps build all important trust in the support relationship. Pam also has a really good sense of humour, and her support will be provided during the day and on evenings. Successful candidates will have a positive attitude and commitment towards making a difference to the lives of the people we support.
We will support Pam with many aspects of her life including personal care (once Pam feels comfortable with her new team), emotional support, and assisting Pam in putting her recent person-centred plan into action. Pam greatly values attending concerts when her favourite bands are touring. She is also very passionate about campaigning for change in the experience of people with a physical disability when attending concert venues and is developing her use of Eye Gaze technology to greatly enhance her ability to communicate with people and organisations. Pam has her own car, so drivers are particularly welcome to apply. A commitment to a person-centred approach is essential and experience of working with people with disabilities would be beneficial.

As a Support Worker you will join our well-established team in Faifley working with people to provide high quality individualised support to adults and young people who have a range of support needs or disabilities across Faifley, Clydebank and surrounding areas. Pam enjoys art and crafts, bingo, and music. She also enjoys going to the hairdressers and getting her nails done. Pam requires support as she has a learning disability and uses a wheelchair.

We are currently recruiting within our Dumbarton Service to support to support a woman “Pam” to move from her family home into her own flat in Dumbarton.
We will support Pam 24 hours a day with all aspects of her life including personal care, taking care of her home and finances as well as developing and maintaining full and active participation in the community. Pam enjoys art and crafts, bingo, and music. She also enjoys going to the hairdressers and getting her nails done. Pam requires support as she has a learning disability and uses a wheelchair.
Pam has her own car to support her to lead a full and active life in the community, so drivers are particularly welcome to apply.

Support Workers help people we support live the lives they want, through high quality individualised support – as such every day is different in this challenging but rewarding role.
No experience is necessary to start your career as a Support Worker as full training and support will be given to help you achieve your potential. We have a range of contracts available to fit in with your life.
Relief Support Workers - £10.02 per hour *pay award pending*
If you would like to get involved in support work but cannot commit to a contract due to other commitments, we also have opportunities to be part of our team as part of our relief register of bank/sessional support workers.

We support people 365 days a year, and staff work a range of shifts including evenings, night shift and weekends on a rota basis. Sleepovers may also be required for which an additional allowance of £10.02 per hour is paid.
