The Glasgow Intensive Family Support Services service works in collaboration with Glasgow Health and Care Partnership (HSCP) alongside other Third Sector organisations, with a co-located base within HSCP children’s services. Working within communities across the city using the voice, validation, hope model, a co-produced family engagement model, workers focus on strengths and assets with families and communities in order to bring about sustainable change to keep families together. Referrals come from social work for young people aged 12-18, however, with the focus being on whole family support, parents/carers, other family members and younger children within the family will also benefit from the support being provided.
What does the role involve?
This role will involve supporting children and young people who are in conflict with the law, using a trauma informed approach. The service currently takes referrals from Early and Effective Intervention, Diversion from Prosecution, Youth Court and Youth Justice Social Work teams. We also provide support to families as part of our intensive support package. Mentors build sustainable trust and respectful professional relationships which encourage support and demonstrate commitment to young people and their families. Sessional Mentors will also be required work closely with our teams and document contact visits.

What Does the Role Involve?
This is a varied role, and the successful candidate will support the charity by delivering an effective and efficient finance function. You will ensure that required information is produced accurately in a timeous fashion with impeccable attention to detail.

What does the role involve?

What Does the Role Involve?
This is a highly varied role, and the successful candidate will support the organisational learning, development & training strategy. • Track and report back on media coverage through internal communications

We are currently recruiting for Young People & Family Support Sessional Workers to deliver support to young people and families over the telephone. A key aspect of this service is ensuring access to support 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The role includes linking the caller into their wider support team, listening to their concerns, de-escalating situations, providing emotional containment, advice and information.
What does the role involve?
• Building relationships with young people and families via the telephone.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Policy Officer to join our team in the Glasgow office (home working until further notice) You will have responsibility for supporting the development and delivery of Includem’s policy, participation and influencing work. You will work on a variety of tasks supporting our policy and participation agenda, write and disseminate material for a variety of audiences using a range of mediums and help to coordinate stakeholder engagement.
To succeed as a Policy Officer, you should be able to think creatively, and have excellent communication, interpersonal and digital skills. You will be reporting directly to the Head of Research, Policy & Participation but supporting the work of the Development Team, which includes business development, fundraising, communications and marketing, and research.
What does the role involve?
• Support the Head of Research, Policy & Participation in delivering the organisation’s policy and participation strategy.
• Monitor and report on Scottish Government, Scottish Parliament, local government, third sector and other key stakeholders for policy and legislative developments affecting Includem and its beneficiaries.
• Identify opportunities for Includem to respond, comment, provide evidence or influence legislation and policy at a national and local level.
• Contribute to the writing of government and parliamentary consultations and inquiries.
• Support the participation of the children, young people, families and Includem staff, ensuring their voice and experience is gathered as evidence, contributing to the development of Includem’s body of policy and research.
• Support the design and delivery of materials and engagement opportunities to gather views and experiences of the young people and families we support.
• Work closely and build relationships with staff across the organisation to gather evidence and identify possible areas for investigation, development and research.
• Identify opportunities for and support the delivery of stakeholder engagement events.
• Identify and attend relevant policy forums, conferences, events and meetings.
• Build a network of relationships with key stakeholders in the sector.
• Prepare briefings, presentations, supporting documents for includem staff in advance of meetings/workshops/conferences etc
• Work closely with Communications and Marketing Manager and Communications and Public Affairs Officer to ensure includem’s policy work is promoted to a range of audiences via press, website and social media.
• Support the wider Development Team as needed, for example in the writing of bids, tenders, and funding applications.
Additional Information
• You may be required to work occasional evenings and weekends, as agreed with your line manager.
• The role will be primarily home-based for the foreseeable future but, as social distancing restrictions ease, you may be required to travel throughout Scotland.
• Having a clean driving license and access to a car is desirable but not essential.
• Successful candidates will be subject to a Disclosure Scotland check.

Youth and Family Support Workers – ADAPT for CashBack Project – West Dunbartonshire
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Youth and Family Support Workers to deliver an early intervention service to young people within the West Dunbartonshire area who are aged between 10 – 15 and are on the periphery of offending. The successful candidate will work within the local community to provide 1 to 1 relationship based support to young people and their families/carers.

· Use communication skills effectively to influence, record and evidence positive change and provide personalised, risk enabled, professional support
