Job Summary
We have a rare opening within our Senior Management Team, for the post of Wellbeing Manager (35 hours per week).
This is an extremely rewarding role and will allow the post-holder to make a tangible impact on the lives of those people living with epilepsy.
We are looking for an experienced manager of people-facing services to oversee our ongoing services and develop new ones to meet the needs of those we work with.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and supervising the multi-disciplinary, motivated and passionate Wellbeing team. The team offers a range of services and initiatives that support people living with epilepsy. The holistic approach includes financial wellbeing. The services offered include a wellbeing service for adults, a youth work service with groups in Edinburgh and Glasgow, a welfare rights service and a support group in Aberdeen.
This is a rewarding, diverse role which includes elements of management, monitoring and evaluation, planning, and delivering quality project(s) safely within agreed timescales and budgets.

Job Summary
We are seeking to recruit a dynamic and experienced Fundraising Manager for this varied and exciting role. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of the funding landscape and fundraising activities. They will have experience managing funding relationships with trusts and foundations, statutory sources and corporate foundations as well as delivering an exciting programme of community, challenge and special events.
As a member of the Senior Management Team, they will lead on the strategic direction of the department including developing annual budgets. They will support the fundraising team (a Trust Fundraiser, Community and Events Fundraiser and Fundraising and Volunteer Co-ordinator) to excel in their roles and deliver a programme of fundraising activities and an inspiring volunteer programme.
The Fundraising Manager will maintain professional standards of fundraising throughout. As an excellent self-starter they will work well under their own initiative and lead on new fundraising ideas to increase, income long term support and sustainable growth across the organisation.

We are seeking to appoint a Policy and Communications Manager’s, a senior post within the Management Team. The Policy and Communications Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of our Policy and Communications strategies.
The Policy and Communications Manager will use their skills and expertise to influence decision-makers to help Epilepsy Scotland achieve positive change for those living with epilepsy. This will be achieved through information, education and campaigning, to facilitate change in policy, practice and law. You will represent the charity at external meetings, act as a key spokesperson and ambassador for the charity, representing us in the media, with campaigners and senior stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have significant experience in a similar role at managerial level. You will have exceptional skills in analysing data, developing written briefs, policy material and reports and have an excellent understanding of the health policy landscape as well as first-class knowledge of Scottish and UK parliamentary processes and legislative systems.
You will be an analytical thinker, have excellent influencing, stakeholder and communication skills.
As part of Epilepsy Scotland’s busy Wellbeing Service for adults, the post-holder will be integral to the support of people with epilepsy’s emotional wellbeing.
The Wellbeing Worker will support people with epilepsy to live life to their fullest potential by providing one to one and group support. They will help participants take an active role in managing their epilepsy and liaise with other external health, social care and community support professionals where appropriate.
We are keen to hear from skilled communicators with experience in an emotional wellbeing support role especially those who have supported people with epilepsy, learning disability, physical disability or other community care needs.
We would particularly welcome applications from those with lived experience of epilepsy and/or the impact a lifelong condition can have on emotional wellbeing.

We are seeking to appoint a full-time Training Manager. The role of Training Manager is a key position in supporting the charity’s strategic goal of delivering a consistently high standard of training to professional and lay audiences across Scotland.
The Training Manager has responsibility for delivering our existing portfolio and developing new training modules to accommodate all clients including set courses and those we tailor for specific requests. In addition, you will be responsible for ongoing training of the teams, and you may be involved in the recruitment of additional team members.
Previous experience in developing and delivering training programmes is essential. You will have great interpersonal skills and be able to deliver both face-to-face and online content in an interactive and inspirational way. Reporting to the Training and Staff Development Manager, the Training Assistant will be responsible for delivering Epilepsy Scotland’s training courses both externally and internally. External training is provided to clients based throughout Scotland both face-to-face and digitally as required.
You will work with the Training and Staff Development Manager to ensure course content is up-to-date, relevant, and meets learning outcomes.
You will also assist in the development and delivery of e-courses, podcasts and webinars, therefore excellent IT skills are essential.
This is a fixed three-day post, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
We are keen to hear from candidates with knowledge and experience in the delivery of training, particularly those who have experience working in the field of, or supporting people with, epilepsy. Interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
We are pleased to announce the opportunity to join the Fundraising team at Epilepsy Scotland, a 12-month maternity cover contract as a Fundraising and Volunteer Coordinator.
This role would suit someone with experience of fundraising and/or volunteering with good organisational skills and who is passionate about working with people.
This new post will be integral to the smooth running of Epilepsy Scotland’s busy Welfare Rights and Training services. The Welfare Rights & Training Administrator will provide high quality administrative support to both Welfare Rights and Training departments, be the first point of contact for Welfare and Training related enquiries and manage and maintain clear records.
We are keen to hear from skilled and experienced administrators who have worked in a public facing role. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this post as is a commitment to the values of our organisation.
