Your role as Health Professional is to deliver person centred therapeutic support to participants with health/disability related barriers to employment, helping them progress towards and achieve well paid, sustainable employment aligned to their vocational goals.

About You

We really need you to have these:

  • Education to Degree level or equivalent within a relevant field (social sciences, health sciences, psychology) or educated to Higher National Diploma level with experience within a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 1 year post qualification experience of working with participants with complex Bio-Psychosocial conditions.
  • Experience of working with people in a social work, community, primary care or hospital context.
  • A working understanding of vocational rehabilitation and the employability pipeline.
  • Knowledge of practical and forward-thinking recommendations that explore adjustments and support for individuals with health conditions looking to enter and/or return to the workplace.
  • Excellent communication and motivating skills.
  • Computer literacy including excellent keyboard skills and excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills for interactions with participants and service providers.
  • Proven and well-developed interpersonal skills in working with individuals on a one to one and group setting.
  • The drive, energy and commitment to support people to obtain high-quality, well-paid jobs.
  • Comfortable working towards targets.
  • A natural, professional relationship builder.
  • A full driving licence.

As a qualified health professional, your role will be integral to the success of our participants moving forward into employment. Engaging with referral partners, colleagues, employers and stakeholders to promote the work that we do, you will be a confident communicator, with excellent presentation skills. You will be representing Enable Works and our clients in everything you do so you will need a professional, can-do attitude. Our reputation is important to us.

We have high expectations for our clients and you will be given a workplan with targets. We support you throughout, but you need to be comfortable working towards them.

We would love it if you had these:

  • Appropriate post-graduate experience in mental health and / or physical conditions.
  • Membership of a Professional Body.
  • Membership of relevant specialist interest group.
  • Experience in clinical audit.
  • Documented evidence of CPD.
  • Experience of service development.
  • Knowledge of establishing, implementing and evaluating intervention programmes.
  • Understanding of relevant policy and legislation
  • Experience of working with ethnically diverse clients.

Your role, as a Team Leader within our Supported Employment programmes across Aberdeenshire will be to work with a caseload of clients as well as to support the team to provide high quality services through monthly caseload reviews and leading by example. Working closely with the Performance Manager, the Employability Team Leader will ensure commitment to the delivery model, helping to drive performance by supporting the client journey through mentoring and coaching of Employment Coordinators.

You will work closely with local partners, including employers, funders and other stakeholders, developing professional relationships that will offer a diverse range of experiences and opportunities.
