As a Trustee, you'll have the opportunity to share your skills and expertise, contributing to the well-being and independence of our elderly beneficiaries. You'll build strong relationships with fellow Trustees, staff, volunteers, and the wider community, while gaining valuable experience in governance, financial management, and strategic planning. By engaging with stakeholders and partners, you'll expand your network and promote our services in the community. Moreover, serving as a Trustee can also help you develop transferable skills that can enhance your career opportunities, such as leadership, decision-making, and project management.
Key Responsibilities of a Trustee:
We are particularly interested in individuals with experience in HR and employment law, finance, and charity governance experience but we welcome applicants from all backgrounds who are committed to our cause. Previous Trustee experience is not always essential as we provide induction and training.

We provide creative social based activities and learning opportunities primarily in group settings and also run a befriending project. In addition, we run a Community Transport project with regular outings, and transport to and from our centre. During the past 19 months we received an increase in referrals of people for our Befriending Service and we are recruiting an additional member of the team to assist us to meet this increased need.
