Support Worker – Housing Support Fife

Housing Support Fife is a service providing housing support in the Levenmouth, Glenrothes and North East Fife area. Bethany Christian Trust is looking for a support worker to be part of this team. The successful post holder will work as part of a team delivering flexible and creative support to vulnerable people to meet their housing needs and help them maintain their tenancies.

You will have a proven record as a team player with excellent communication skills; you will have experience and knowledge of the service user group and their surrounding issues. We would welcome applicants with lived experience of these issues. Competence in the use of Microsoft office tools is essential. An SVQ 3 in Social Care, Promoting Independence or equivalent as listed by SSSC as appropriate for a ‘Housing Practitioner’ is desirable; the willingness to work towards this is essential.

As Bethany is a Christian organisation, this post carries an Occupational Requirement in line with Equality Act 2010. Please note that one reference must be from your church minister or leader to endorse your live and active Christian faith and commitment.

Project Worker Kharis Court – BATHGATE

An opportunity has arisen for a full-time project worker to join the team at our Kharis Court residential service for young people experiencing homelessness in West Lothian on a fixed-term basis from April 2025 to provide maternity cover for a period of 12 months.

The project provides accommodation to young men and women 16-25 years of age in a four-bed communal living setting and also within single-supported flats. The project is located in Bathgate, West Lothian

You will be involved in the day-to-day running of the unit, ensuring that a 24-hour warden service is in place through the working of shifts (including sleepovers & weekends). You will help to provide emotional and practical support to individuals, enabling them to learn independent living skills through support planning, assessments and key working. A team player with good communication skills, you will have experience and knowledge of our service user group and their surrounding issues.

Competence in the use of Microsoft Office tools is essential. An SVQ 3 in Social Care, Promoting Independence or equivalent as listed by SSSC as appropriate for a ‘Housing Support Worker’ is desirable coupled with the experience of working with vulnerable and homeless people.

Individual Giving Fundraiser (Data & Insights) - Edinburgh

The Fundraising Team is looking for a proactive, methodical and creative fundraiser, who will deliver Bethany’s individual giving strategy, including generating reports and insights, and using data to drive donor engagement and retention, creating engaging campaigns, and developing and recording partnerships on our database.

You will be part of the multi-disciplinary fundraising team, supporting other areas including events and finance. Living our values, you will work with colleagues across the charity so that, together, we can work towards ending homelessness in Scotland one person at a time.

You will be based in our Leith office with some flexible home working.

We require all applicants to have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the role.

Bethany Christian Trust is a national charity working across Scotland to change the story of homelessness. We run 30 key services from Stornoway to Edinburgh, supporting over 7000 people each year. From our fleet of care vans delivering a warm meal and a chat to people in need, to community employability drop-ins and supported housing, we are here to support individuals at any stage of their journey out of homelessness.
