Inspiring Young Voices is a SCIO (Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation) whose objective is to enable children and young people, particularly those with additional support needs/disabilities, to have their voices heard – where and when they wish. It supports them in raising awareness and bringing about positive changes in matters they see as important. It advises them on ensuring that their human rights are respected. It helps them to increase opportunities, improve their quality of life, and hold people to account. The charity was established in 2000 as Highland Children’s Forum and then Highland Children and Young People’s Forum (HCYPF).
