We are a long-established local charity, whose aim is to support people with sight and hearing loss to live as independently as possible. We offer a range of specialist services for those who have sight loss and hearing loss living in Perth and Kinross. We provide statutory services on behalf of Perth and Kinross council and hold and maintain the register for people who have been certified as sight impairment or severely sight impaired. Our aim is for an inclusive and supportive community where people with sight and hearing loss can fully participate and enjoy a high quality of life.

We are seeking a Sensory Support Coordinator to join our dedicated team at Vision PK, a growing charity who have recently opened our new sensory hub in the heart of Perth.

About Us:

VisionPK is an exciting and growing charity, recently opening our new Sensory Hub in the heart of Perth. We provide specialist services for people with sight loss, hearing loss, or who are deaf, living within the Perth and Kinross local authority area. Our specialist rehabilitation service is commissioned by Perth and Kinross Health and Social Care Partnership, allowing us to offer essential support to individuals facing sensory challenges.

The Role:

We are seeking a Sensory Support Coordinator to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of supporting individuals with sensory loss, providing direct assistance, coordinating services, and advocating for their needs. You will work closely with clients, their families, and other service providers to ensure holistic support and access to vital resources.

About You:

  • Experience of working with people with disabilities, sensory loss, older people, or in community support roles.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • A positive, problem-solving attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • An empathetic approach, with excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with clients of all backgrounds.
  • Understanding of holistic care and how to deliver support in a way that meets the broad needs of the people we support.

  • Partnership Building and Collaboration

About You:

  • Experience in delivering health and wellbeing programmes, particularly for individuals with disabilities or sensory impairments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Ability to build effective partnerships with external organisations.
  • A proactive, compassionate, and organised individual who can work independently and as part of a team.
